“Been here twice now, first time got two small ones, one matcha and one injeolmi. I love injeolmi so it was really delicious. The matcha too, very rich flavor. The ice itself is so soft and fluffy and tastes delicious. Definitely need the red bean on the side.
The second time we got the bigger melon one ($19.99) with red bean on the side as well. Heard multiple people both times complain about not getting red bean (it doesn’t come with most of them), so remember to order it on the side. The melon one was good, but the smaller ones were better.
Overall one of the best bingsoo places I’ve been to, Korea included. Def best in the US. The texture just hits different.“

“I was a JA kid in the 80s and 90s. After CYC basketball games and Tamiya Mini 4WD races, my family would head to the third floor of Yaohan and enjoy the great flavors of Hana-Ichimonme. “The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.“

“This sketchy-looking hole-in-the-wall serves the best 生煎 (fried bao) in all of greater LA. The sanitation situation is visibly terrifying. But honestly, I’d risk mild food poisoning once in a while for that crispy bottom and juicy bite. So many authentic Shanghainese restaurants serves pathetic prefab version生煎 nowadays.“

“Came on a Saturday after dinner time and it was not too crowded when we got there, managed to snag a table easily. However, by the time we left, it was definitely getting crowded and people were standing around waiting for a table.
The signature combo is my go to with the soft grass jelly and chewy taro balls. The desserts here are not too sweet - so if you have a really sweet tooth, this is probably not the place for you. That said, the sweetness level here is just perfect for my asian palate.“
