Artisanal Goods by CAR is known for their croissants and specialty coffee drinks. The plain and chocolate croissants are very good, crispy outside but soft inside, with a perfect texture combo. Many agree they have the best chocolate croissant in LA, describing it as flaky, buttery, and decadent. The honey almond danish is also a dream, and the plain almond croissant is fresh, flaky, and oh so good. Coffee is great too, with the madegascar vanilla latte being delightful with a lovely balance. They have a team of alt baddies in the back making croissants fresh in house. Quality French bakeries in the US are expensive, so expect to pay about $6. There is usually a line on the weekends, but it is worth waiting in line. Space inside is extremely limited, and people often hog table space doing homework on laptops, so it is hard to enjoy coffee and pastry in store.
