If you are on the campus of Caltech and this cafeteria is open, it's a good place to catch a quick bite. On weekends they do a limited service usually consisting of make your own sandwiches, some hot serve yourself entrees and a made to order breakfast/burger grill. The pricing is a bit inconsistent. I think they charge by plate, so you can load up if you are a big eater. They charge less if they can see the bottom of the plate.
It's a student cafeteria, but a good one. The atmosphere is a big part of it. They have a very nice salad bar in addition to all of the other dishes. They also have a television screen that was showing a very popular soccer game while I was there. The excitement level was pretty high and made it a lot of fun. If you're on Caltech campus it's a good place for lunch.

This is a very nice, well run University dining establishment. I was in uniform and at the start of service, staff were friendly, offered me a free coffee. Everyone was in good cheer, the pastries were fresh. Campus may be sleeping, but the cafe staff are in full gear.
