“Perfect date night spot! Cocktails are excellent (Stargazer and Mariposa were my faves! Nor’easter was interesting and different and delicious) Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. Pricey and small portions, but everything was delectable.“
“We accidentally stepped into this restaurant in the neighborhood and found out it was really amazing! We didn't expect it to be a vegan restaurant until we saw the menu. It was a little confusing at first to see the 'bean meat,' but as the dishes came out, they were so good, bringing us a sense of freshness and purity from eating vegan food. And they all tasted great without any synthetic feeling.“
“There's nothing better than fresh juice.I've had the opportunity to try The Juice at both Atwater Village and in Grand Central Market. Neither visit has disappointed! These juices are made freshly onsite and they have a wide variety of choices ranging from greens to carrot/coconut. I ordered the #13 both times: strawberry, apple, and coconut! So refreshing on a hot afternoon. The shop also serves up acai bowls, smoothies, and 'milk' based drinks. I tried my friends green milk and it was both unique and tasty. Great alternative to a milkshake. Next time I want to try the charcoal lemonade. I hear it's a great detox!“
“This is hands-down, my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles, the food is absolutely phenomenal and I love the vibe! I wanted to order every single thing on the menu, but we narrowed it down to the hush puppies and chargrilled oysters to start... Mouthwatering! Also, the chicken fried swordfish fish Hemingway was one of the most unique dishes I've ever had and probably will ever have. I love that this entire space was inspired by the owners family recipes & traditions. If I had one last night left in Los Angeles, I would go here!“
“I don't know why it took me this long to try Fishwives, but I highly recommend it. I would make a reservation so you don't have to wait for a table. I ordered the New England clam chowder, Tsukiji market ceviche, Maryland-style jumbo crab cake, & wild Icelandic true cod fish & chips. The restaurant is behind the Container Store sandwiched between a few other stores so it can be missed at first. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. The clam chowder is not heavy and very creamy like the clam chowders you'll find at the markets. The restaurant is clean and modern. It just feels like you're having a nice beachside meal without the long drive to the beach. I can't wait to come back and try more stuff on the menu. The best place to park is the public Marriott parking that’s right across the street from Pasadena Memorial Park since it’s only a $1 for the first two hours of parking.“
