Salt & Straw is hands down one of the most creative and delicious ice cream shops I’ve ever visited. Every scoop feels like an adventure. Their classics, like Chocolate Gooey Brownie and Double Fold Vanilla, are rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I came here because the gelato place had a line around the block. Even though I still had to wait like 10 minutes, I’d much rather have real American ice cream than some lesser European copy. I got my ice cream cone and then skipped around the block with the propeller hat that I got from the thrift store next door.

Can I do a 10 out of 10!?! It’s fun, it’s welcoming, friendly, fast and delicious! I probably go in there once a week for a pint of salted caramel! Consistently excellent! Really happy to have them in old town.
