“My wife and I were passing through Paso Robles and were exploring the town when it was time for lunch. Looking through Yelp we saw several possible places, but The Backyard tickled our fancy, so we decided to give it a try. At first it looked closed, as when we approached from the street, there was a small stand-like structure with a serving window, but it was closed. Fortunately, we explored a bit and behind this structure was a large outdoor seating area consisting of picnic tables (many of them in shade), and another small structure where one places their order. There was also a covered outdoor seating area with outdoor couches and chairs. I had the "Backyard Burger" ($16) which was very good. My wife had the "Philly Cease Steak" ($16) which as better; very yummy! (she got the better item!). You place your order and pay at the counter window. Then eventually someone brings your order to you.“
