Based on the reviews, The New Yorker Pizza is a long standing Petaluma staple and a locally owned old school pizza joint. The food is exceptional, with seriously solid pizza, amazing pastas, and homemade sauces. Specific meals mentioned include the plain cheese pizza, sausage parmesan sandwich, manicotti, spaghetti and meatballs, and the eggplant parmesan sandwich. The generous salads are also recommended. The owner Rosalia is frequently praised, and the staff are described as friendly and super awesome. The restaurant has an eclectic decor with postcards from all over the world. It is a great family place that feels like an old school Pizzeria, and is also a great place for date night. The food is consistently great, and customers have been eating there for 27 years. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no steps.
