Roederer Estate, one of the major sparkling wine producers in the Anderson Valley, offers a unique experience for wine enthusiasts. The tasting room is currently being renovated, but visitors can still enjoy the patio overlooking the vineyards. Two tasting options are available: the Classic Flight for $25 and the L'Ermitage Flight for $45. The L'Ermitage Flight features three wonderful L'Ermitage wines, including older vintages. The wines are fascinating to taste, with notes of caramel and brioche in the older vintages. To accompany the tasting, guests can order snacks like eggs mimosa and lavender honey and goat cheese crostini. After the tasting, visitors can purchase a wide range of library wines, including older vintages. The winery also offers a unique bathroom experience, which provides a glimpse into the wine storage area and fermentation barrels.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the beauty of the Valley from the tasting room makes visitors feel like they might be in Europe. The scenic vineyard setting is breathtaking, and the sparkling wines are exceptional. The sommelier, Ernest, is incredibly knowledgeable, guiding guests through each tasting with insights that elevate the experience. The tasting room is welcoming and intimate, making it a memorable stop in this beautiful region. Highly recommended for any wine lover.
