“Longtime fan of Toulouse Pinot“
“I rolled in with friends for a Harvest Hosts overnight and met Sean inside the tasting room; he walked us out and pointed to several places we could set up. As in my photos, the field is wide open with shaded edges under big oaks and views of the Mendocino hills along Highway 128. Plenty of space to spread out without crowding other rigs. I was able to run the generator for AC during the warm afternoon, and once the sun dipped the air cooled off nicely, so the AC—and the generator—got a break.
Inside, the tasting felt easy and unhurried. Sean poured a thoughtful lineup that fits the area—Anderson Valley is tucked between the redwoods and the coast and leans toward cooler-climate styles. The surprise for me was their Dry Riesling; it’s the first dry Riesling I’ve genuinely liked, enough that I took home three bottles while my friends grabbed a case. The fresh-baked sourdough he handed us (that big round loaf in the photo) was crackly, and absolutely dangerous with butter.
Fair note for RVers: this is true dry camping—no power or water—so come self-sufficient and expect a basic field, not hookups. The afternoon heat can nudge you to run the generator, but evenings settle into that quiet country cool that makes sleeping easy.
I’d happily return for the relaxed vibe, welcoming staff, and simple, spacious overnight. Great fit for self-contained RV travelers who enjoy low-key tastings.“
“Love this place! They have the best sparkling wine in Anderson Valley. Sam is very knowledgeable and attentive to their guests. The setting is great to have a picnic and admire the garden, while enjoying their wine. We are members, so we will be back.“
“Nice scenery, beautiful wines and friendly people!“
“A beautiful, dog-friendly winery in Anderson Valley with gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating. The wine tasting was excellent, and Mary, our sommelier, was great at explaining all the wines. A great find in Anderson Valley and a must-stop if you’re driving through Highway 128!“
“This winery is truly a must-do in the Anderson Valley! The property is stunning, and is a feast in and of itself. It’s lush with aromatic flowers, apple trees, and of course views of the vines across rolling hills. Taylor was so knowledgeable, personable and and generous with her presence. She was there when I needed her, and gave space to enjoy in between. Make this stop a priority on your next Mendo/Anderson Valley/Norcal trip!“
“This is a very relaxed winery. We really enjoyed our wine guides, Angel and Rainbow. We loved the experience and wines so much that we attempted to change our travel plans to stay the night. The guides did their best to help us find lodging nearby. The wines in the valley tend to be lighter— perfect for summer sipping. We particularly enjoyed the the Zin and were delightfully surprised by the rose of Pinot.
Now that we have discovered the Alexander Valley and the lovely wines at Geeenwood, we will definitely book lodging in the Valley and plan a trip for several days.“
“Wow. Again Roederer delivered...and no, I wasn't double fisting...Comparing the brut to it's magnum counterpart thank you very much! A beautiful setting to celebrate the retirement of a close friend. Although the service was slow, the view, champagne and company made it all worth while.“
“The winemaker served us 5 wines for $25. He gave us fresh popcorn to go with our wines. There were 3 Pinot Noir wines, all good plus a decent Zinfandel. Usually make notes but there wasn't a list provided. A bit pricey. Overall there was a good atmosphere, but would like to see more incentive to sell us a bottle or 2!“
