“Hidden behind the hamburger sign, is a lovely local restaurant.The place has plenty of seats for the population of the town, and enough to handle skiers.A lot of locals hangout at this spot and it is quite lively on the weekends.Food wise is what one would expect from a small town. The price you pay is not bad for a four course meal.Not bad to stop by if you are hungry.“

Not only did they move our table to a better location for small talk after a request but accommodated us in every way . The food was absolutely to die for. The staff were attentive and answered all questions! The wine and craft beers weres also amazing! Highly recommend! “My favorite winery in the area by a long shot. I love their wines, but the real key here is the people and place. The moment you walk through the door there is a different vibe. This is not a pretentious winery. It is one that you bring large groups to and let everyone enjoy themselves. Every wine tender you may get is easy going and fun to chat with.
The grounds are beautiful and it's easy to get an area to setup with a bottle and hangout outside. I have brought more people to this winery than literally any other and will continue to do so. Could not recommend enough.“

“This place is a restaurant but also like a bowling alley... In which you throw axes. Not you axes and a rubber board. Real metal axes that stick into a wood wall. Digital projector system to change the target or play different games. Axe throwing only allowed for people 12+.“

Now, this spot is your hidden gem for sandwiches. My go to is the turkey sandwich. This isn’t your typical Subway turkey sandwich. This is your flavor bomb, you’re thinking about going back to get a 2nd one sandwich. You get a side of their secret balsamic sauce, but you probably won’t even need it how juicy the sandwich is.

““The Joy of Wine” is quite fitting.” Our intro to good wine began with a 40th anniversary trip to Amador wine country and Napa Valley.

We visited Rombauer in the Sierra Foothills in May 2024 and absorbed the beauty and serenity while sipping a couple of wines at the walk-up window. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. The Chardonnay was exceptional.

Since then, we learned that Rombauer is Certified California Sustainable, NAPA Green, and Fish Friendly. After another trip in August to NOTL, we upgraded to purchase only those wines that are exclusively Sustainable, Organic, or Biodynamic.

This summer we were delighted to find Rombauer Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc at our local supermarket and Total Wine store. The Chardonnay is oak aged, buttery and delightful. The Sauvignon Blanc is fruity, sweet, and refreshing.

The Rombauer Merlot and Zinfandel are also carried by our local Total Wine and are on our shopping list. We look forward to enjoying them as well. We may need to join the wine club soon!

The food was a little heavy, but considering a few of us ordered dishes with country gravy- they hit their mark.Chicken fried steak and country skillet were good...but the texture of bothe the fried steak and potatoes weren't as crispy as I'd prefer. On the whole, a nice spot and step up from a Denny's.“

“Food was on point. I ordered a western burger. It was great. Meat was juicy. Not overcooked. The only thing that would have made my burger better is if the bun was toasted.

The waitress did an outstanding job considering she was the only waitress. I felt kind of bad for her but she kept up with the orders.

Nice selection of beers. I wish they had growlers or to go beer. It is not a brewery they sell other companies beers.

“Service was excellent. Food was super delicious. I didn't notice any people even though the place was moderately packed. Seats were comfortable, I broke a rib a week ago so I have noticed seating comfort. Food was also fresh and aromatic. I enjoyed my time there and will go back again.

Vegetarian options: They serve the most delicious salad and there was a clear selection to pick from.

“After almost 2 years returned to the Leger for a date night with my wife. Now, the new owners and the Management and Chef are what this town has needed to revive this treasure of a hotel and restaurant. The chef is a culinary dreamer and achiever who seems to be on the path of culinary enlightenment at the Hotel. All courses were layered with a passion and love for food that the Leger has never seen before. I loved the old chefs but they were armature at best of home BBQ kings. Johnathan is a Chef that has the gift that 99% of chefs wish they had. I recommend setting a reservation for a private dinner for 2 and let them take the wheel to create an experience, not just some dinner. Last night was a full circle moment that could have gone horribly wrong, but, not one thing can be complained about nor changed. A perfect evening and there will be more to come.“

“Not sure if the reviews I read are going to the same place. Went here for lunch. First off the entire place is extremely clean, which isn't the case for many restaurants. We were greeted and seated, drinks were brought. The menu is extensive. We had the tempura vegetables and dipping sauce appetizer. Both were excellent. I had the lunch special with sesame chicken. The fried rice and chow mien were very good with a slight grilled flavor. The sesame chicken was great, fresh and crispy with fantastic sauce. My guest had broccoli beef and said it was very good as well. Highly recommend!“
