“I brought six other friends from Santa Barbara on a wine trip to Amador/Fairplay wine region. we had wonderful time at Ruggero’s Mastroserio Winery. so many great wines to choose from. among them the Petit Syrah and Teroldego were two of my favorites.“

“We’ve visited many wineries in the region and this is the new favorite, hands down. From sparkling to intense reds, all were amazing and we left with several bottles. Super reasonable tasting fees. Great wine insight and stories from the owners. Joined the wine club and will be back soon.“

“This place is so wonderful. Their food is amazing, especially the baked mussels. I bring kids and their patio is perfect for a family situation. They pepper the kids with little treats and are so kind and patient with families. But they also offer a very serene setting inside. We will support this restaurant forever. “This place has the absolute BEST egg flower soup. It actually has more than a little egg and a couple of chives in it. The Happy Family is the bomb! Try the Salt Baked Shrimp, soo crunchy. For appetizer have the Poo Poo platter, the best of everything. I've tried many dishes and have never been disappointed in a meal. “Everything delivered. The staff are all knowledgeable and inviting, the location is easily accessible and the wine and it's history are amazing. I drove from Sac (Abt an hr) and spent a good part of the day in the shade enjoying a flight and being doted on by a few gracious women. Will definitely be back soon.“

“A must visit!! My boyfriend and I visited Rombauer in Saint Helena a few months ago and it was mentioned to us that there was another facility in Plymouth. We decided to make the trip over a holiday weekend and it did not disappoint! Ample parking, beautiful grounds, incredible staff, and great wine. Dawn led our tasting and she was incredible! She knew so much about the wine, the area, and made us feel at home. It was a bit chilly and she was so kind to allow us to change tables and even brought us multiple blankets. We picked up a few bottles and can't wait to visit again soon!“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

“This place continues to go downhill in my opinion. We have been going there for years. But the last year we have stopped going much at all because the service is very hit and miss. A few good servers here and there. The food had also started to be not as good. We decided to try it again and for me this is probably the last time. The serving size for the price is pitiful. Especially the ridiculously small kids pizza for $12. It was burnt on the bottom besides. The garden sandwich sounded very good but was pitiful and served on a dry bun. The service was adequate but not friendly. Just disappointing again. This used to be one of my favorite places.“

“I drive by this place a ton of times. Kinda forgetting that Pizza Plus is tucked inside a small shopping complex on Missouri Flat Road, south of Highway 50, in Placerville. The pizzas are pretty darn good.

The pizzas are oven baked with fresh, quality fixings. Mmm. Simple, classic pizzas done right. The staff are the best. Friendly, helpful. They have a couple of dining areas. The place is kept super clean. No frills. Comfortable. It's locally owned by the same original owner for over 30 years. That's a testament right there.“

The rangoons were nice and crispy, honey walnut shrimp was perfectly cooked and delicious, hot and sour soup was pleasantly spicy, and the cashew chicken and General chicken we had were also very tasty! The wines are fresh, bright and fruit forward. The Sparkling Brut Rose ($42) has a strawberry toned, grenache base wine. Tannat ($50) is a grape in madiran wines.
