“First timer! Arrived late afternoon and had a wonderful experience. Their adorable dog Lady (famously featured in Wine Dogs of CA book) greeted us upon arrival- always love a doggie welcome! Owners were on hand pouring wine. They off a great selection of wines. Delicious- something for everyone. Really enjoyed talking to the owners about their journey. Beautiful location and so relaxing! Highly recommend.“
“Fabulous. For so many reasons. First well crafted Italian varietals by Ruggero Mastroserio, who was also pouring wines himself and is just a wonderful person to spend time with. We’re told that his pizzas are great from his pizza oven on site. He was not making pizzas on this day, but then made us a special bowl of ravioli, even though he wasn’t cooking. We particularly liked the Ciao Bella white blend, Primitivo, and Barbera for their uniqueness among California wines, but his Bordeau blends are also great. We definitely want to return when up in Fairplay and try to aim for one of the days where he is playing his saxophone. Very dog friendly, too.“
“We’ve visited many wineries in the region and this is the new favorite, hands down. From sparkling to intense reds, all were amazing and we left with several bottles. Super reasonable tasting fees. Great wine insight and stories from the owners. Joined the wine club and will be back soon.“

“What a lovely, accommodating place with great wines. We had booked a tasting for 22 people next door at Perry Creek, but we showed up to find they had closed for the day -- yet we paid them in advance and confirmed. Anyway, a quick call to Windwalker and we headed there. Alanna and Zach welcomed us with open arms -- we sampled a huge variety of wine and many of us bought a lot of wine. The port was excellent as well. Add this to your tasting list if you find yourselves in the area.“
