“One of our favorite wineries. Paul and his staff take such good care of all their patrons! Discovered them last year during the Nevada day, on our annual visit to Apple Hill. They always take good care of Nevada residents on Nevada day, when practically the entire city of Reno goes to California LOL!Make sure you check out Rucksack Winery which is also owned by Paul, across the street.“

Bumgarner Wine Tasting Winery • $$
3550 Carson Rd Bldg. B, Camino

“I challenge any lover of Bordeaux varietals to try Bumgarner’s Cuvée rouge. It is an EXTREMELY smooth wine with a great body & rich texture. The finish transitions extremely well. I don’t know if I can even remember anything to compare this to, its not complex at all but offers a full body and smooth finish. It is a sort of simplistic elegance that finishes perfectly. This wine is straight perfection and one of the best local wines we’ve experienced between Amador and El Dorado County. I love the boutique vibe and the owners are hands on and really amazing people. The whole experience was like a breath of fresh air and the wine my God. It’s really good. We found a new local favorite for sure.“

Wofford Acres Vineyards Winery •
1900 Hidden Valley Ln, Camino

“A lovely place. This is a lovely, quiet spot a little off the beaten path and for the better. There were no huge crowds, one of the best views you can find, and the owner is on site. No food for sale, but you can bring items, which we did. The staff was awesome - they went above and beyond. We will definitely be back.“

Andersonia Wine Winery • $$
2875 Larsen Dr, Camino

“Amazing amazing service. Owners were out front and gave us a tour of their vineyards, letting us try their grapes and do a sampling of their zinfandel. They also have a special wine slushy with a tart and refreshing organic raspberry mix 10/10 would get again, it was delicious. We bought a bottle and sat outside on the patio they shared with the neighboring winery. It overlooked the vineyard and was just so gorgeous. Support their small business, you won't regret it. :) we'll be back next year when they have their Merlots ready to sell.“

Chateau Davell Winery Wineries • $$
3020 Vista Tierra Dr, Camino

“What a lovely place! My daughter, grandson and I came here because it showed to be kid friendly and that it most definitely was. We originally came here to relax and enjoy a glass of wine however ended up staying longer. We ended up having some Herbivore pizza and homemade strawberry ice cream. Both were absolutely amazing. Everyone here is so friendly. Another great highlight of our evening was listening to a young man from Elk Grove by the name of Triton Taylor who played the guitar and sang. What a great voice, be sure and check him out on You Tube, Spotify etc. I definitely will come back if I ever find myself in this area. It definitely is a gem!“
