“Me and another car pulled over after seeing two dogs on highway 49 their owners found us and the dogs on highway 49 and then said thank you and asked us if we wanted a bottle of wine. I followed then to their vineyard and got a free bottle of wine i appreciate the kind gesture i didn't catch the couples names but after a long work day this bottle of wine will be perfect“
“A few years ago I visited Rob’s quaint tasking room in downtown Amador City and fell in love with his wines. Rob’s passion for his wines shines through in each and every bottle. They are all delicious. So I went back a few weeks ago and picked up two cases with a mix of Rose, Cab, S&M, Chardonnay , and Sauvignon Blanc for my mom’s 70th bday party in the Bay Area. “What an establishment. one could not go wrong stopping here. The food was to die for, the wines were DELISH. There is a wine for everybody even the non drinkers have coffee and different refreshments. VIEW IS SPECTACULAR… nestled in the hills of Amador county. Lanelle was our host and was EXTREMELY versed in all product knowledge and went the extra mile to ensure the experience was a blast. The whole staff made the LA Mesa Vineyard experience spectacular.“
“I love coming into this tasting room, the second you walk in you feel like you’ve been there for years. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly and the wines taste amazing. I have to say though, Franklin is truly the person to make this place feel fun and energetic. He knows so much about not only the company and product but also everything going on around town. “WINE. SLUSHY. We had two go back two days in a row for this wine slushy. Everyone is so kind and the slushy was SO refreshing, especially with the red wine floater. This will be a staple this summer. We also saw they had a pizza truck pop up, so we will have to be back to try the food! Wine chips were delish. Thank you to everyone at this winery, they were so friendly and fun!“

“One of the primary reasons we keep coming back to Amador for our annual visit is because of Rombauer. Their setting is very relaxing, their staff are all friendly and amazing and they have the best Chardonnay on the planet. I don't seek out any white wines but one, and it's the Rombauer Chard. This year we opted for the 2019 over the current release due to the extra years, palate profile and price point. Next year, that 2023 will be just about right and we'll be sure to take some home. I didn't plan on any other bottles but this year's Zin was on point. Can't say enough about this great winery, and when I'm pouring in our own tasting room in WA, I mention Rombauer often. If you don't drop in for a visit during your wine tasting tour of Amador, you're doing it wrong. :)“

“This place is a gem ?. Beautiful atmosphere and fantastic people working there. Pamela was so nice and friendly, so I would love to mention her name in my review. Unlike the Story vineyard, who can’t even bring a glass of water to your table, this place gives you a water as a first thing. Also this place offers a picnic area, where you may bring your own food and have a large variety of wines ?. Picnic tables are covered from the sun, so you’ll be safe. Great design work was done there as well. Highly recommend for visiting.“
“This is a winery with tastings for its own wines. They are great and very reasonable. If you belong to their wine club there are usually quarterly wine club pick ups with food, tastings, and music.“

“It was great I was helped by the third generation son who is very knowledgeable about his products and what paired with what was very helpful actually probably a little too helpful I've got one wine now to taste with just about anything I'd want to eat which is okay. It's expanding my knowledge about good food and drink definitely worth the stop Shenandoah Vineyards part of the sabon family.“
“What a great discovery! A beautiful location with splendid wines!! And the owners Bobby and Desa gave us the grand tour. Such a wonderful way to spend a warm March afternoon..sitting in the sun drinking wine and enjoying a great conversation with the owners. This is a must stop for anyone in the area…even more so for those who like old cars and car memorabilia. Take the drive -off the beaten path and enjoy ? yourselves at Driven Cellars!“

“We were recommended this tasting room by a friend at TDO, which is closing. Tom the wine maker was in the tasting room. Him and his were very cordial. Nice tasting room and even a tent outside. We arrived 30 mins before they closed, but said it was no problem. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We will be back in October and probably join their club.“
“This new place is awesome. The staff is great. Great wines too. They do have food but didn’t try as I was not hungry then. But the food looks good too. I recommend this place to anyone. And they have a great hang out area and view outside.“

“If you like ports or speciality unique wines then you're in for a treat here. They have tons of speciality sparkling wine with unique flavors like raspberry, almond, strawberry, and pomegranate.Don't worry though, if you're more into red wines they've got those too!“
“Not a lot I can say more than I have in the past about Turley Wine Cellars. They are always our first visit during our annual trip to Amador and they've earned that. We find their zins to be the best in the county and a few bottles always come home with us if we need them or not. Their grounds are nice and their people are a lot of fun and very nice as well. Really the only thing that would make the visit better would be a roaming winery dog, but no stars off for not having one (that we saw). If visiting the area, be sure to give Turley a visit, you will be glad you did.“

“Cannot say enough about this place. They have great Tempranillo, but also my fav, sweet wines and port. What really sets them apart is that they grow their own grapes.. Few Amador wineries actually do. A definite must see if you're in Sutter Creek“
“They had a great 2 for 1 tasting deal so it was hard to pass on! I came with just my partner but it has a nice outdoor spacious area that can accommodate large groups. They have an extremely generous amount of 7 different wines with small bites of cheese and crackers included with their tasting. The staff was so friendly which made our experience better especially after the service we received at Sera Fina down the road. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcomed right away. We plan on coming back with friends.“

“Nice spot in Plymouth, they offer many quality wines including lesser known varietals like Graciano. The white port is amazing, it finishes like buttered popcorn. The property is newer and features a full kitchen, event space, beautiful vineyard views and an amphitheatre. A little busy but with good reason, it's a nice stop. Will definitely return after exploring the other wineries in Amador County.“
“We have been TKC club members about ten years. We have upgraded our membership more than once, and their club prices are so good we still order a LOT more wine than comes with our membership. I adore Amador wineries and TKC is the first one I go to.“

“We make an annual visit to Amador County for a refresh of our CA wines and had never been to Andis. We both loved the setting, the wines and the staff. The wines are true to style, not sweet and all very good. Left with a case and they will now be part of our regular rotation of favorite wineries during our visit. We wish we would had tried them on previous visits but better late than never. Make sure to visit Andis, you won't be disappointed.“
“We have been enjoying Terre Rouge/Easton's fabulous wines for over 20 years. While winemaker Bill Easton's Rhone-style wines (Syrahs and Rosés) get the most accolades, his Zinfandels, Barberas, Vermentinos, and Savigon Blancs are exceptionally good!“
“Dobra is one of the few wineries in Amador county that have unfiltered wine. I’m not a huge unfiltered wine fan, but Dobra Zemlja does a great unfiltered wine. The staff is amazing and kind. Their grounds are expansive and great for groups who want to taste and enjoy a beautiful view.“
“Just opposite the parking lot in lovely Sutter Creek, Yorba offers well crafted wines with a few years of bottle age that feature velvety tannins. We tasted Tempernello, Barbara, Zin and Syrah from 2011 to 2013 vintages. It is very unusual for wineries to hold onto wines this long and it was a treat to taste them. The wines, especially the Barbera, are distinctly on the earthy side; if your tasted are more a big fruit profile, you may be disappointed. For my part, I enjoyed them.“
“My fiancé and I had a fabulous time at Baiocchi, and our host, Mallory, was so charming and knowledgeable about which wines we would enjoy. Their front patio was beautiful and the whole ambiance felt like I was in the middle of their vineyard instead of a busy Main Street. Cannot praise this place enough!“
