Best restaurant in placerville whenever I visit home it’s my first stop!
My wife and I have been here many time, always enjoyed our meals. Friendly staff good quality food.
While in the area with a few of my brothers, we came across a local food truck that caught my attention. Although I don’t typically gravitate toward food trucks, I decided to give it a try and it exceeded all expectations.

Fresh Mex Express is a taqueria with a compact menu and a clean, simple interior. Their barbacoa, especially the chili verde and chile colarado, has a good depth of flavors. The carnitas are also worth a try. The staff prepares your order with your chosen proteins and fixings right before your eyes. They have amazing grilled fish burritos and fish tacos. The customizable burrito options are similar to fast-food Mexican chains but with fresh, superior quality. The restaurant is consistently clean. Their salsas and ingredients are really fresh and tasty. The workers are always happy to serve!
