My boyfriend and I moved to California from Florida a few years ago and we've had a hard time finding some good Cuban spots. This location exceeded our expectations! The food is so flavorful, very good portions, and priced very well. I'm surprised they don't have a line out the door every time we have come. More people really need to check this place out. My boyfriend and I have gone here probably 3 times in the last week and we're determined to try everything on the menu. What a gem! Definitely worth checking out if you're craving some authentic Cuban food.

I’m traveling and always looking for real food and in Habana Express, I finally found it! The food was excellent. The portions were generous, and every dish was full of flavor.
The service was outstanding. Even the chef came out to give me recommendations and made me feel at home. That personal touch made the experience even more special.

Where do I start? Let's start with how I was greeted by the owners and staff, that right there tells me enough about their restaurant! It was my first time eating at Habana Express, I was amazed about their menu and it's very detailed! Everything looked delicious! The Cuban Bowls looked good, but I was actually there for their sandwiches (so many choices)! I decided to order a Pan Con Bistec (steak sandwich) and my girlfriend ordered a Cubano sandwichv with a side of fries (sweet potato fries and regular fries) in which they were cooked perfectly! For our child we ordered loaded Salchipapas, which was also delicious. The establishment was very clean and had a very cool look! All I can say I was very satisfied and my order looked exactly like the images, this is a restaurant I will visit whenever I'm in the mood for Cuban food!

Havana Express Cuban Restaurant was an absolute and delightful surprise. Finding truly authentic Cuban cuisine outside of Cuba is rare—but this place delivers the real thing.
My wife is Cuban and an exceptional chef herself, so we approach Cuban food with very high standards. Both of us agree without hesitation: the food here is genuinely authentic Cuban cuisine. Every dish we tried reflected traditional flavors and careful preparation. The fried yuca was perfectly done, and enjoying a Malta Hatuey brought back true Cuban nostalgia.
The service was equally outstanding. To our delight, the chef himself came out to greet us—he is Cuban, and you can feel his pride and passion in both the food and the hospitality. That personal touch made the experience even more special.
And the pastries—simply phenomenal. Fresh, indulgent, and absolutely irresistible.
Havana Express is a true culinary jewel in Concord. If you’re looking for real Cuban flavors, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable dining experience, this is a must-visit. Highly recommended—you will not be disappointed.

This place always hits the spot! Have visited a few times, but have been too excited to snap a photo of my food :) Great flavors with huge portions. I go back and forth with my favorite: the Traditional or the Cubano sandwich. I try to order both and split with my husband. Not sure what is in the green sauce, but must be magic. Highly recommend!
Additional sidenote: have stopped in for breakfast a few times as well. The coffee + pastry combo is incredible!

I stopped by because a friend told me to try them out. I a big fan of authentic Cuban food and it’s hard to find in the Bay Area. The people working were nice and they seem to have a lot of options. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and croquettes. The sandwich is ok I give it 6.5/10 but the croquettes are probably the worst I’ve tasted. This place serves Arepas and salchipapa so it’s more of a Colombian restaurant that has a Cuban vibe. Definitely not an authentic Cuban restaurant. A lot of people seem to like this place but there are other better places to get REAL Cuban food.
