“We had the strawberry blonde for ourselves, which was way too sugary but good. Kids got the silk almond milk vegan ice cream with some almonds and sprinkles for toppings.I see a lot of one-star reviews for this place, but our experience was fairly good. The place is way too small, there's not much room for seating there. They, however, do have 2 tables inside, but it was already occupied, and there is no seating arrangement outside either. We ended up standing outside under the small little tree in the 90s heat and got into the car. It would be great if outdoor seating could be taken care of.

“Nilekha’s cakes are not only delicious, they look amazing as well! We got a themed cake for our daughters second birthday party and it was wonderful! We got a chocolate cake with hazelnut filling and it was rich and moist with a few crunchy hazelnuts in them as well. The cake looked amazing as you can see.. and we got tons of compliments for how yummy it was. Highly recommend Nilekha! She’s very prompt and detail oriented. We will definitely get more cakes from her in the future.“

“This was from our last visit to Cakes and Bakes in Dublin to pick up an eggless Butterscotch cake, and it was a great experience overall. The location has ample parking, so we didn’t have to worry about finding a spot, which made the quick stop even more convenient.

The Butterscotch cake itself was delicious, and we appreciated that they offer an eggless version, which can be hard to find in many bakeries. The cake was rich, moist, and had that classic butterscotch flavor we were looking forward to. Kudos to Cakes and Bakes for catering to those with dietary preferences without compromising on taste!

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that, unfortunately, the baker wasn’t available to write a message on the cake. It was a small letdown since we were hoping for a personalized touch, but overall, the quality of the cake and the convenience of the location made it a positive experience. I’d definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a good eggless cake option in Dublin!“
