Thali was good for lunch as they had unlimited sambar, rassam and chutneys…
Rasam wada was best, i wish they gave more rassam….ghee dosa was crispy. Filter coffee was great too!
This is a very great place to experience authentic South Indian food. Must try the Podi Idly (regular, not mini idly)! Masala and Kara Dosa varieties were also great. Kesari was perfect! Mini Idly is not the same authentic shape and kind of big and also changes the taste when having it immersed in Sambar!
Mylapore pleasanton is always known for its great food, amazing service and pleasant ambience. The place always seems to be busy and fully packed with patrons for their tasty food be it weekday or weekend.
Rabeek- I take this opportunity to appreciate you for your great service , prompt responses for all the food requests .

Mylapore South Indian Vegetarian has become a top choice for authentic South Indian cuisine, offering a variety of delicious options. The restaurant specializes in dosas and other tiffins, with favorites like the rava dosa and ghee Podi dosa. The benne masala dosa is also worth trying. This self-serve establishment has streamlined operations, minimizing wait times. Customers praise the food quality and service, making it a go-to spot for South Indian fare. The mini filter coffee is a must-try, with many visitors returning just for the coffee.
The restaurant features an interesting system of waiting to be assigned a table, ordering and paying at the counter, and having the food delivered. The Mylapore Special Dosai, a thin rice and lentil batter crepe filled with spicy masala potatoes, is a signature dish, served with hot sambar and chutneys. The Ghee Podi Thatte Idly, an oversized steamed rice cake with a distinctive ghee flavor, is also a popular choice.
Customers have noted the fresh, flavorful food, even when dining in a large group. The staff is described as helpful and courteous, efficiently managing the crowds. The medu vadai, sambar vadai, and chutneys, including the outstanding tomato chutney, have received high praise. The dosas are consistently hot and crisp, with the right amount of masala filling. The mini lunch, with its ample rice and accompaniments, has also been a hit.
While the overall experience has been excellent, some customers have suggested reducing the sambar quantity to avoid waste, decreasing the spice levels in the sambar and tamarind rice, and considering a kids' menu with less spicy options. The restaurant's ability to manage the crowd and deliver food quickly has been commended.
