I don’t live in California but have been going to Juanita’s for decades whenever I’m traveling. Their food never changes and is some of the best I’ve found anywhere.
Great green sauce. Good small hard shell chicken tacos. Good red sauce.

Based on the reviews, Juanita's is a true Pomona classic that has been serving up great Mexican food for nearly 50 years. It is a simple walk-up with a couple of outdoor tables, but the food is what keeps people coming back. It is family owned, which gives it a welcoming and personal touch. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always outstanding. A reviewer highly recommends the meat, rice, bean, and cheese burritos (where "meat" equals delicious red pork), bean tostadas (no lard), and shredded beef tacos. Prices are reasonable, though a chili reono burrito with carnitas was almost $17 and considered a little bit pricey. The red sauce is better than the green sauce. Be prepared to wait at lunchtime.
