“Dear Boni,
We wanted to extend our sincere thanks for your outstanding expertise at The Cave. Since you've been there, we've consistently enjoyed the wonderful wine selections you've recommended. Your knowledge and guidance have truly enhanced our visits, introducing us to some fantastic wines we might not have discovered otherwise.
We also appreciate you mentioning the wine dinners. Thanks to your recommendations, we've decided to attend a few, and we're really looking forward to them!
Your passion for wine shines through, and it makes our experiences at The Cave even more enjoyable. Thank you again for your excellent service.
Sincerely,

“Favorite local place for craft cocktails. The bartenders here know their craft and they stock hard to find liquor that most local places don’t have. On my most recent visit I ordered a La Louisiana which in addition to whiskey and vermouth also requires Benedictine and Absinthe, which most local bars here don’t carry.“
“I have visited The Cave twice, a week apart. The first time was for a wine pairing dinner, which we did with another couple. There were 5 courses (appetizer, salad, two entree courses, and dessert) and each dish was delicious. We decided to return a week later to see if it would be as good for just an ordinary night out. The restaurant was not too busy (it was a Tuesday) but each of the dishes we enjoyed was well prepared and very good. We ordered the Macadamia Crusted Salmon, a chicken special stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, and another chicken dish. The restaurant is attached to a wine shop, and if you don't want to sample wines by the ounce or order wine off the restaurant list, you can go into the shop and choose from literally hundreds of wines at all price points and then bring the bottle into the restaurant where they will serve the wine for a very minimal ($10) corkage fee. Done be put off by its location in an industrial park. This place is a gem! Inside it looks like a wine cave and they usually have some quiet live music at dinner time. This is definitely one of the better dinner spots in Ventura!“

“Izakaya Jin is a friendly place to dine with authentic Japanese cuisine. They offer amazingly fresh sushi, sashimi and nigiri. Hot dishes are just as good! The special sets they create for various holidays are out of this world. We lived in Japan for seven years and we are so thankful to have found a place that offers some of the best food in town!“
