“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again. The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing. The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor. The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“
“Went there for a quick lunch. Ordered $22 bento box. Decent quantity with quality food. ? friendly and professional service. The environment was good too- not a lot of people. Not the cheapest quick lunch in this neighborhood but worth the money as the food was diverse and delicious. Would come back again! ☺️“
“We visited this establishment for the first time on Superbowl Sunday. I have never seen a manager go so above and beyond for his guests than I witnessed at the Den. It was crowded, but he went out of his way to find seating for us and took great care of us. He was very visible during the very crowded time and could be seen helping his staff. When we are back in the Hollywood area, we will revisit here just for the customer service alone, although the food and drinks were 5 star as well.“
“I hadn't been to Eveleigh in some time, and was pleased to see much of what I'd liked remained. I didn't get a table in the area requested, but they were busy. Service and food were excellent. But one thing they need to fix ASAP... the display of for sale souvenir T-shirts on hangers by the host stand makes the place seem cheap, desperate and touristy. Get rid of those NOW!!! They send a really bad signal. And while you're at it, ditch the strings of cheesy patio lights that have crept in. Eveleigh once felt like a very cool place to go - 10 minutes of removing some tacky stuff and it would again.“
“This is a 5+++, as you would be hard-pressed to find a more creative, flavorful and truly life-changing pasta meal than at Cento. The Spicy Pomodoro Pasta may be the singularly most delicious pasta dish on earth. The lamb meatballs… to die for. The grilled octopus, OMG. Pasta will never be the same for you. The beet spaghetti? Just ask Luca… it becomes part of you. Highly recommended.“
“Food and wine selection at AOC is very good. The service is what stood out most. I dined here Monday night and the hostess was very kind. Michael our waiter really made our night. He had great menu and drink recommendations and his positive attitude was so infectious it really made our night. He really set the standard for amazing service. We will be back asap to see him!“
“Best upscale Filipino food on the Sunset strip! Will definitely be back.Try the lechon kawali and chicken skins! OMG! So heavenly! Our server was great and very sweet and seemed to genuinely care that our experience is nothing short of superb!“
“Very cozy diner with great atmosphere. Love the food with seasonal ingredients and creative flair, all very delicious. Great for friends gathering and a big menu for a lot of choices with different price point. Will love to come back if i was in town again!“
“It was our 1st time there. Smaller than it looks in pics so I'd say it's a quaint place. Only a couple beer choices but decent amount of wine choices. The food is shareable which I prefer. The salads were sooo good! The 2 pizzas were sooo tasty. The bread with butter is light & airy. Sauces for the pizza crusts were a bonus.Parking: Next door lot is $25 for about 2 hours“
“We came here for the second time today and it was so much better than the first! Chris was an amazing server and was very quick and nice. The food was very good and the sides we were given were also very good. Great experience thanks to Chris!“
“Fusion Filipino restaurant with natural wine and Filipino beer selection. After trying many under-delivered fusion Filipino restaurants, Spoon and Pork easily takes the crowd to have the best executed fusion style dishes. We had the sinigang, grilled chicken, adobo chicken wings, pork belly, and garlic rice, and none of them disappointed.Sinigang's soup was rich and flavorful while the topping in the soup was cooked separately so they are not over cooked. The ribs came with a real nicely grilled flavored. The pork belly had crispy skin as expected and the fat to meat ratio was really good. The adobo chicken wings sauce was thick and sticky and not too salty nor sour, we kept the sauce for dipping Even after the wings were devoured. We are glad we took another chance in another fusion Filipino restaurant and we'll keep S&P on our rotation.“
“I found this place 2 years ago completely by accident. My family and I walked in, and the rest was history. Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and the cherry on top: the AMAZING food. I can't say enough about the food. Excellent selection, combinations, and taste. The chef knows what they're doing, and it shows. The black fried rice is so unique and delicious. We left happy with happy stomachs. I am excited to report that two years later, HATCH still exceeds my expectations. Happened to be in LA again and remembered the food. I couldn't remember the name, so I searched for it. Found the place, and it's a short walk away. Perfect. Walked in, got a table, and the service was amazing, per usual. The food was fantastic! The owner came over and checked on us, asking how everything was going. We explained how we were so happy to find HATCH again after two years and memories of the wonderful experience. The owner ended up cutting us a deal and said if we ordered one dessert, we'd get another one the house. Both of the desserts were delectable. The next time I find myself in downtown LA, I will be returning to HATCH. I'm so happy to support an awesome restaurant with amazing food and a wonderful owner. You guys are killing it!“
“The BEST dining experience!! Our table had a gluten & garlic allergy and the staff and chef were so accommodating!! It did not feel like an impediment, they offered us so many options!! All the food was delicious and the service was even better!! We love this restaurant and can't recommend it enough!! 20/10!!“
“Amazing restaurant with class and vibe. The food and drinks were so good. I would definitely come back here. In addition they have live jazz on Wednesdays and other nights. This is a a great place to come and chill. The chicken liver mousse is a must with some bread.Vegetarian options: Mushrooms were awesomeParking: Park in the back lot is free“
“This is a great little bar. Lots of beers on tap (50+) including many California craft breweries. Pool table inside. Great heated outdoor space. Ping pong, foosball, and boardgames outside. Not a lot of food options (chips, nuts, giant pretzels, etc.) but there was a decent food truck right outside when I was thereParking: Seems like plenty of street parkingWheelchair accessibility: Patio seemed plenty wheel chair friendly. Inside was was a bit tighter but possibly ok.Men's room was super small... Probably not wheel chair accessible. Not sure if there was another option.“
“The most authentic Thai restaurant we have found in LA! Very close to what you'll experience in Thailand. We ordered the Som Tum, Tom Yum soup, pumpkin curry, Pad Thai, Eggplant, Hot Basil with tofu (probably a bit more plain than we expected), Pad Woon Sen (most SoCal Thai restaurants botch it, but Chao Krung Thai masterfully presented a perfect, dry, fried version) and mango sticky rice. I would come back again in a heartbeat. Among the cons are difficult parking, slow service and very dark interior.“
“Tapas spot on Main Street. Came here for a Valentine’s dinner and they had live music out in the heated patio. Service was especially slow (but our waiter was nice), but the bright side is that you can have an especially leisurely meal. Reservations can be made online in advance. We ordered the mushroom croquettes, Catalan chicken, tortilla española, jamon wrapped dates, and mac and cheese with bacon. The dishes were good but the best were the dates and the mad and cheese. The tortilla española came with a salsa and an aioli on the side but the aioli did taste sour (I think one of the ingredients used was past its shelf life). Other than that, it’s a good spot for an intimate dinner or date night.“
“Bit of a pricey spot, but so worth it! Got the intestine hotpot, gyoza stuffed wings, and oysters. Hotpot comes only with intestine, cabbage, chives, and noodles, so we ended up adding tofu pork meat. Such a good choice for a cold night. Fattiness of intestines was umami and not overwhelming, especially when paired with the yuzu kosho. Noodles were thick and the perfect texture. Wings taste exactly what the sound like and had a nice grilled flavor. Oysters were very fresh and refreshing.“
“Holy Basil is instant comfort that teleports you home. The dishes are flawlessly executed and the flavors are consistently on point. The vibe of this hidden gem reminds you of your family’s kitchen and I feel like a kid again full of excitement from the escaping aromas. I lean heavy into firing the menu family style and always look forward to memorable meals shared. Their take out withstands LA traffic to the far away land of Santa Monica. Service is hands down the friendliest in town.“
“It’s a unique take on ramen, good depth of flavor, great noodles, but for me the truffle dominates and the richness of the soup is too buttery. Like it for something new, but I prefer a more traditional take. I like truffle and I have had a dozen bowls in Tokyo. I was expecting the price, but at the end of the night it felt too steep.“
“I love the concept of this restaurant and the service was spot on great! We sampled several dishes from the menu and I can highly recommend the yummy ribs, the swiss chard, and the asparagus was super (done with a tangerine sauce that was amazing)! The deviled egg was delightful as well as the tomato puree on toasts, a nice palette cleanser...And the goat milk flan was a desert winner!! I will say a few dishes just weren't up to par - the skewered calamari was underwhelming, not well spiced and rather bland, and the garling shrimp was overwhelming with too much garlic (and we were all garlic lovers). I was glad we asked for a quiet table, tucked up in the corner of the upstairs area (we had a double birthday dinner), because the noise level in general was very high. I recommend seating up on the balcony if possible. All in all, however, it was a great experience and we'll certainly go back and sample some more dishes from this neighborhood gem.“
“What great little discovery! My wife and I were exploring DTLA on a sleepy rainy Sunday and happened upon this great sushi restaurant off of Santa Fe Ave in Downtown LA. The sign from the street read, “Happy Hour 3-6pm daily!”We stopped in to get the Mrs some tasty sushi.Kombu Sushi was a cozy bright fantastic surprise!Great fresh fish, chill atmosphere, and excellent service! We were given seared yellowtail sushi as well as lynchee mochi ice cream. They were so nice.We will definitely be back soon!“
“When the yearning for authentic Spanish cuisine beckons, "La Paella" emerges as a culinary beacon, brilliantly capturing the essence of Spain's rich gastronomic landscape. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance transported us back to the vibrant streets of Spain, enveloped in warmth and the tantalizing aroma of spices. The service was nothing short of exemplary, with staff members who not only knew the menu inside out but also shared their enthusiasm for the flavors and traditions of their dishes. Each recommendation was spot on, adding to the overall delightful experience. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the squid ink paella. Its bold flavors and perfectly cooked seafood were a testament to the chef's mastery. Each grain of rice was infused with the deep, oceanic essence of squid ink, creating a dish that was as visually arresting as it was delectable. Every plate brought to our table was a hit, making it a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience for the whole family."La Paella" has certainly set a high standard for Spanish cuisine outside of Spain. It's a gem worth returning to, and we are already planning our next visit to delve deeper into the menu. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Spain, this is a place you won't want to miss.“
“Consistently the best ramen in La hands down vegan or otherwise. Rich broth, Quick Service great atmosphere. Just down the road is donut friend 5 minute walk away which is a huge Plus for dessert after a killer bowl of ramen nudes with the best King oyster mushroom“
“I was invited to Juliana for my Instagram food blog (@catrinoms) and had a fantastic experience! This restaurant is so beautiful and every dish is so creative and gorgeous. My favorite was the blueberry steak — such a surprising combination and so delicious! Definitely recommend this spot for date night or hanging out with friends. The vibes are on point!“
“I've been really into wine bars lately and decided to check out Mignon. The bar is so dark that I had to whip out my phone and used the flashlight to read the menu lol. Staff is super friendly and provided great recs! +Mixed and match of cheese and charcuterie 5/5: Our server recommended some soft cheeses and less salty meats, and everything tasted delicious! + NY steak 5/5: Wow, I didn't have much expectations of an $18 steak but it's one of the most well-seasoned steak I've ever had. It's so soft and juicy as well. I was so impressed. Apparently there's only a limited amount of steak! + Uni spaghetti 3/5: Unfortunately, the uni was kinda fishy otherwise it would've been tasty. Overall, I had a great time at Mignon and would come back again for HH!“
“Very cute sushi place with a theme of their cute dog. Such a cozy spot for simple yet very intimately. They have sake to pair with sushi and also many cute merchandise. Indoor and outdoor seatings available.Highlights of the menu:1. Sashimi2. Sushi lunch box3. Roll“
“A very happy discovery. After being a bit surprised at the minimum cost at another nearby restaurant, I kept walking. I was drawn to the gas flames of outdoor dining. I found Bacari GDL and was very pleased. The food was excellent. My Bacarita was spicy but refreshing with watermelon to counter the bite. My ceviche was the best I have had. My pork chop with caramelized onions was perfect after a long day. Hannah was a delight in her care of my dining experience. I hope to return to Glendale again to enjoy this gem.“
“I can only speak from a food pick up perspective, but for the affordable price point it's Soo good! definitely recommend their California roll, salmon skin and Philadelphia roll! We typically get four roll and two miso soups which is just perfect for us and for about ~$50 for a whole meal for two not bad at all! definitely will eat in next opportunity“
“Great spot! I came here 10 years ago, and was delighted to find out it is still open. Same charm: dark wood, sweeping curtains, smokey cocktails, red leather couches, jazz music. We had the chicken bites, a glass of cab sauv, and one of the lychee cocktails. Everything was good but the lychee wasn't overwhelmingly good- I will probably switch to a whiskey based drink next time. The chicken was a perfect small bite to pair with drinks. Everyone there seemed to be a pair: first dates, deep conversations, etc. There are tables in the main room, couches in the fireplace room, and a long bar.“
“A great snack restaurant! If you come before 8 o'clock, it's happy hour, so you can enjoy more value for money than other K-Town bars :)However, if you go when there are too many people and it is noisy, your voice may be heard :) Good luck with your guessing game :)“
“obsessed! what a cute spot right on Sunset Blvd. it's hard to find restaurants w/ good vegan options & all the dishes here were phenomenal. particularly enjoyed the broccolini, mushroom & potato, green goddess salad, mushroom risotto!! the hummus was fire too. service was great , it's a total vibe inside. we came on a sunday night & it was jampacked. definitely coming back!“
“Very nice ambiance. Came for dinner with family. Server was good. Ordered the cuckoo's nest to drink. It was like a refreshing cucumber juice. We ordered the Gypsy bacon pizza, paella, crispy ribs and tomahawk steak. The pizza tasted like a sandwich with the bacon, tomatoes, and pickles. The crispy ribs were really good, soft and tender. The paella came with pasta which was different but good. The sausage that came in the paella was really tasty and the shrimp was pretty big. I was getting so full once I got to the tomahawk steak but it was very juicy and great flavor.“
“Came here on a Friday night for a girls dinner with some friends. Food was excellent!! Loved everything we got. Drinks were also very good - I recommend the espresso martini but the wine I ordered was also fantastic. Service was not slow but definitely drawn out so I’d plan on taking your time which we were happy to do! Our server was wonderful. Overall great experience and would come back again.“
“Service was great, and the restaurant is a fun vibe. Go with a big group so you can try a variety of dishes. We tried the cauliflower, beets, hummus, panzanella salad, oyster mushrooms, branzino, potatoes, and some friends had the rib eye. For dessert we tried the baklava pie and the olive oil ice cream. The panzanella was my favorite dish, but overall everything was solid. It's in a small strip mall and has a few parking spots which is an added bonus.“
“Can't say enough about this place! They've thought of everything. Such a unique entrance into their speakeasy that leads into a very vibey romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent and checked in on us just enough to where we felt taken care of but not rushed. The food and drinks were incredible and we cannot wait to go back! And omg the glassware for their delicious cocktails were the cutest!“
“Felt like taking my online class at a cool cafe, and upon looking for Yellow House Cafe, I found it had changed to Anju House. I was super excited to go and try it out, and I'm so glad I did! As before, the patio area is so lovely. There's heaters all around too, so no need to worry about the cold. The staff was AMAZING, and I do not exaggerate when I say they went above and beyond for me -- they literally brought out an extension cord so I could charge my laptop. I was excited to try the food, which I will say was a little bit out of my budget at the moment, however includes things like corn cheese, kimchi fried rice, and even birria ramen! I ended up getting a spicy ramen which was on the cheaper end. Overall great experience, and can't wait to go back with some friends.“
“Consistent, great food, feels delicious, healthy and nourishing. Menu is pretty small, which means to me that they do what they do well and dont have to wow you with quantity and diversity. Even though it's a modest menu, the choices are great. All around one of my favorites. Also, service is always great.“
“We just learned about Sola a couple of months ago and we've gone five times already. The food is outstanding, the restaurant is nice, with a cool mellow vibe, and the owner is friendly and fun to talk to.I've tried almost everything on the menu by now, from the sizzling mushrooms to the grilled onigiri, to the special salad covered in fried onions. It has all been great.Try the grilled mackerel and mixed dumplings, too. Seriously, everything there is delicious.Fairly quiet, so it's a perfect place for a date or meet-up with friends. And there's free parking downstairs!“
“One of the better yakitori restaurant around the LA area! I usually make reservation before heading over especially during the weekend because it gets packed. It's on the 3rd floor of the Alameda building next to X-lanes and above the Korean market. Service is usually on and off- some days you get great service and some day it takes 15 minutes before you get to place an order or even get water. Food is on the more expensive side but tastes delicious. The sautéed skirt steak with shishito peppers appetizer, however, was not worth and very salty. Parking is free with validation from the restaurants or market.“
“Okay this is going to be a long review1-beautiful atmosphere, well done ✅2-wonderful friendly staff, well done ✅3-as a very first time customer i did my research and read many reviews before fully committing to trying out this restaurant3B- I agree with everyone who shared their opinion of “leaving here hungry”3C- the food is absolutely delicious BUT the price ratio and plate proportions are off4- have you ever heard of Grandville4B- this restaurant could be Grandville’s twin, you are so close and yet just not there5- the advertised drink menu is so short and limited but in truth the bar can make many more traditional cocktails you just have to ask- the menu should show more of these options6- overall I believe this restaurant will survive but as a business can improve and dig deeper into fully servicing a bigger presentation of the community successful vs becoming a limited community customer pleaser7- i am going to put 5 stars but i am wishing i could give 4.5 stars- really wish google offered half star options“
“I've been here a few times and am always pretty happy. The service is prompt, the drinks are good and alcohol forward, and the mid-lobby location is convenient and approachable. Some of the drinks are pricy, but I think that is more justifiable given the bar's prestigious location right next to the Crypto center.“
“While I was staying at the hotel, this became my go-to place to sit and get something to eat when I didn't feel like going out. The indoor/outdoor flow is perfect on a nice night if it's cool enough to sit by the fire. The drinks are incredible variations on classic cocktails, but the bartenders are knowledgeable and can make you anything with their stocked bar. My only complaint I had is that the bar has inconsistent hours. Some of the evenings they were closed by 11:00 and some it was open until well after midnight or 1:00. I was told this is guided by how busy they are on any given night. Keep this in-mind before you plan an evening around a nightcap.“
“Definitely a good spot to hang out and have drinks with friends. The servers were really nice. The only problem for me was the popcorn shrimps were pretty disappointing, there were more flour then the actual shrimps. I love shrimps so I was pretty disappointed about it. Overall of that, everything else was amazing. I would definitely go back.“
“First time here and it did not disappoint! Staff was so cool and friendly, front door man was a sweetheart. DJ playing great music and everyone on the dance floor were beyond fun to dance around. I've never felt so welcomed in a dance environment like that.“
“This place is busy and very lively vibe. The service here is excellent. I tried their Hakata Ramen + gyoza combo on this visit. I had my customized my ramen same as i would do at Ichiran. I find the ramen to be above average for me. So i was expecting to be blown away by the flavor unfortunately that was not the case. I consider their ramen to be above average, its just i had better ones. Btw the gyoza was excellent.“
“While the ramen is quite good, try their other non-ramen offerings. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). Service as fast, friendly and attentive and the dining area was very clean. Value for the meal is excellent especially for West LA! Cannot recommend enough!“
“Amazing diverse Mexican cuisine. Everyone can find something for him/herself. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend Tacos Tu Mądre and I will definitely come back!!!They also have a lot of choice for vegans!“
“This place is divine. It is true authentic French and you feel like you've been transported to Paris when you go. The food is so finely prepared with quality ingredients and each dish is so unique and delicious. It's my new favorite!“
