jilli modern sool jib Reviews
Jilli is just a really good spot. The food is solid, the makgeolli is so addicting, and the risotto is surprisingly soooooo gooood. But the staff is honestly the highlight. They’re genuinely friendly and fun without being over the top about it, not to mention very knowledgable about the selections. The kind of place that just has a good vibe and makes you want to come back.
Great food and vibes
Loved it. Came in alone after seeing them on IG and the dishes lived up to hype. Great atmosphere, staff is attentive and welcoming. Owner is friendly.

Jilli Modern Sool Jib is a cozy restaurant in Koreatown with a unique Korean-leaning tapa-style menu, making it an excellent spot for groups to enjoy a variety of dishes. The atmosphere is dark and moody, perfect for late-night dining and drinks, although the space is small and can feel cramped during peak hours. The service is attentive and friendly, with servers going out of their way to make guests comfortable, even surprising them with complimentary shots.
The menu features standout items like the uni tteoboki, which is celebrated for its chewy rice and umami-rich sauce, and the Rigatoni alla Kimchi Vodka, known for its creamy texture and mild spicy kick. Other notable dishes include the kimchi rigatoni, meat jun, Wagyu Yukhoe, and kolbi short ribs. Guests can also enjoy a variety of Korean alcoholic beverages, with staff ready to guide them through the options.
While the restaurant can get busy, especially on weekends, the experience is deemed worth the wait. Prices range from $30-$50 per person, depending on drink choices. Overall, Jilli Modern Sool Jib offers a delightful blend of creative Korean-fusion dishes and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a memorable dining destination in Koreatown.
