“Bacari Sherman Oaks was the most incredible dining experience I have had in a very long time. It was more than just great food. The staff at Sherman Oaks created a complete experience with ambiance, fantastic service, and creative dishes to choose from.

The ambiance is energetic yet relaxed, and the Mediterranean-inspired small plates are incredibly creative and fun to share. Every dish we tried was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Mallery, was absolutely fantastic. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail elevated an already amazing meal into something truly special.

Congratulations to the Bacari team for building something so unique. Bacari delivers an experience well beyond great food. I will enthusiastically recommend Bacari to everyone I know who visits Los Angeles, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

However, although we mentioned this was our first anniversary dinner, it went un acknowledged by our the host and server and we felt largely ignored by our waitstaff. “I had a wonderful solo drinks and tapas last week. The experience was wonderful, the vibe in the restaurant is whimsical, the drinks were fantastic, ..they had an excellent gin choice. Nice little outdoor patio and then an area to play games at your hearts content! Pool table inside ping-pong, table, and foosball table outside. Darts board games you name it very cozy couch and tables out on the patio as well. Partially covered. Alistair was very attentive to my friend, but didn’t seem to feel compelled to take care of me lol. A lot of fun eye candy on the walls. Vintage goodies. Will definitely be back.“

“Jilli is just a really good spot. The food is solid, the makgeolli is so addicting, and the risotto is surprisingly soooooo gooood. But the staff is honestly the highlight. “Our Friend Vahe took us this week for a Tapas Treat to this gem on Ventura Blvd. They have been serving the valley with excellent Tapas for 20+ years. We went all the way - tried and shared most of the small tapas - croquetas, mushroom, shrimp, patatas and all the little baguette delicacies - and had a really good time. They have live music - a wonderful guitar player - on some days. If you like Spanish guitar worth checking out his dates in the place. If you care for Tapas - this is the right place.“

“After gym and resting in a bit, we headed over to Mignon on 6th Street for dinner. As it was Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, we had the red and white house wine each at $5. For $5, the price and quality is really quite good. We also had the ham and brie ($11) and prosciutto and butter ($11) sandwich. Tom enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich which had the fatty bits while Kate enjoyed the brie. We enjoyed the way our sandwiches were prepared – gourmet, with pickles on the side and sweet mustard. “I ordered the cauliflower dish to go. The portion size was decent and the taste was fine however, I had requested no bag or utensils. When I got there, they had used an extra large bag for one small container. I carefully removed the staples so that there was no damage to the bag and it could be reused. However, the server said they could not reuse the bag and just threw it in the trash. Extremely wasteful and unnecessary and untrue.“

“While the ramen is quite good, try their other non-ramen offerings. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). The seating is really only designed for drinks, not for actual plates. I had a Caesar salad minus sardines and the dressing had too much horseradish. The view is 10/10“
