The service was warm, drinks and food were very high quality, and it was a great experience. We are moving to the neighborhood, and I have a feeling this will be a repeat local spot. “Bacari Sherman Oaks was the most incredible dining experience I have had in a very long time. It was more than just great food. The staff at Sherman Oaks created a complete experience with ambiance, fantastic service, and creative dishes to choose from.

The ambiance is energetic yet relaxed, and the Mediterranean-inspired small plates are incredibly creative and fun to share. Every dish we tried was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Mallery, was absolutely fantastic. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail elevated an already amazing meal into something truly special.

Congratulations to the Bacari team for building something so unique. Bacari delivers an experience well beyond great food. I will enthusiastically recommend Bacari to everyone I know who visits Los Angeles, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

“Bacari Glendale: It is a beautiful place we have always wanted to go to. We took two friends for a belated birthday dinner (and as the staff realized it was just that, they even rewarded us with a delicious birthday dessert :-). Great service, nice ambiance, and delicious food - we had the bread (could have been a bit more for the $4,50), then shared the Mac & Cheese topped up with the pear and brie pizza that was the best.“

“The food was complexly flavorful, and very thoughtfully presented. The trout escabeche and the mushroom ragout coca were the stand outs to us. However, although we mentioned this was our first anniversary dinner, it went un acknowledged by our the host and server and we felt largely ignored by our waitstaff. So not a good place to go if you’re celebrating something big.“

“I had a wonderful solo drinks and tapas last week. The experience was wonderful, the vibe in the restaurant is whimsical, the drinks were fantastic, ..they had an excellent gin choice. The staff was amazing and attentive. The food was delicious and filling. I had the bikini con Carino, Patatas Bravas, Anchoa and one more thing, i cant remember. All of it was MORE than enough for a full dinner. I cant wait to go back again with friends.“

“Our Friend Vahe took us this week for a Tapas Treat to this gem on Ventura Blvd. They have been serving the valley with excellent Tapas for 20+ years. We went all the way - tried and shared most of the small tapas - croquetas, mushroom, shrimp, patatas and all the little baguette delicacies - and had a really good time. They have live music - a wonderful guitar player - on some days. If you like Spanish guitar worth checking out his dates in the place. If you care for Tapas - this is the right place.“

“We went on a Wednesday night and every table was full, which should tell you something. Very good service from the host. We did the 4-course pre fixe menu. First course was an outstanding beet salad - one of my faves ever - and a rice noodle dish that was just slightly under-seasoned. Second course was possibly the star, the street corn. The steak was also an absolute star, done perfectly at medium rare. The vodka lumache was, like the rice pasta dish, a bit under-seasoned. Oreo beignets were great, and the chocolate budino was very good, very rich. We'll definitely be back.“

“I LOVE this place. The food the atmosphere, both amazing. Of the small plates please try the sweet potato chaat and the cauliflower dish. Of the large plates, I’ve tried 3-4 and all were really good. Great for dates, casual hangouts, and to get a bit drunk with delicious bites.“

“Jilli is just a really good spot. The food is solid, the makgeolli is so addicting, and the risotto is surprisingly soooooo gooood. But the staff is honestly the highlight. They’re genuinely friendly and fun without being over the top about it, not to mention very knowledgable about the selections. It’s still a little sweet and a little effervescence. Love me a 7% ABV with a seltzer! Very cozy fun vibes. Comfortable bar seating as well as comfortable booth seating. Nice little outdoor patio and then an area to play games at your hearts content! Pool table inside ping-pong, table, and foosball table outside. Darts board games you name it very cozy couch and tables out on the patio as well. Partially covered. Alistair was very attentive to my friend, but didn’t seem to feel compelled to take care of me lol. A lot of fun eye candy on the walls. Vintage goodies. Will definitely be back.“

“After gym and resting in a bit, we headed over to Mignon on 6th Street for dinner. As it was Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, we had the red and white house wine each at $5. For $5, the price and quality is really quite good. We also had the ham and brie ($11) and prosciutto and butter ($11) sandwich. Tom enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich which had the fatty bits while Kate enjoyed the brie. We enjoyed the way our sandwiches were prepared – gourmet, with pickles on the side and sweet mustard. Love the vibes where the staff gave us space, despite being seated “at the bar”...

“I ordered the cauliflower dish to go. The portion size was decent and the taste was fine however, I had requested no bag or utensils. When I got there, they had used an extra large bag for one small container. I carefully removed the staples so that there was no damage to the bag and it could be reused. However, the server said they could not reuse the bag and just threw it in the trash. Extremely wasteful and unnecessary and untrue.“

“While the ramen is quite good, try their other non-ramen offerings. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). All the dishes were delicious, the soup was especially my favorite, it had a really nice crunch because of the crispy rice yet the broth was velvety and flavorful. I will say, though, that there are 5 TVs that are all playing entirely different things. That with the music blasting, it kinda felt like an out of body ADHD induced hallucination.
