Finally made it to try Headwaters and are so glad we did! The staff were friendly and helpful and truly seemed to enjoy being there and seemed glad we were there. We unknowingly asked for an item that is usually served later in the day and the person taking our order ran out to ask the cooks if it was possible to do for us and they said they could! Went here for the first time last weekend with some friends. The food was amazing and so were the staff. It’s such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. What I loved most is how the chef came out to speak to one of my friends about some suggestions for a gluten-free option to her. You can tell there’s a lot of pride and enthusiasm running through this restaurant! What a great addition to Portola!

This place probably has some of the best, classiest food offerings in Portola. The sandwiches are great, and you can enjoy them with a lovely view of the river if you eat out on the patio. The staff are very friendly as well and remembered us after our first visit even though we're out-of-towners. Did great with a large order we picked up for a group as well as a nice lunch for two. Highly recommend.
