Things have improved, but still needs some work. I ordered chicken fried steak for breakfast plus biscuits and gravy. Biscuits and gravy improved, but the chicken fried steak was overcooked and I couldn't eat it. plus the service is fair at best. We had to ask for silverware and water. plus the server spoke so softly we couldn't hear her talk. They did give me a discount, but I would have liked to eat the whole breakfast. I hope the New Owner will see this and correct his problem....read full review
Service has gone down. I will not eat here anymore. I have been coming since 2014. The Blonde waitress will stand around and ignore you while you wait to order. This has happen the last 5 times I have come. Today another waitress had to ask the blonde girl if she could take my order. Even that was screwed up. I ordered 3 eggs, bacon, home fries and sour dough toast. I received 2 eggs french fries and sour dough toast that wasn't toasted. It was white as paper. Also I waited forever...read full review

Based on the reviews, Country Kitchen is a hidden gem in Ramona with awesome service and even better food. The food is excellent, with a really country way of cooking that makes it feel like eating at a ranch. The quality is intentional, using locally sourced eggs and fresh-squeezed orange juice. A fresh squeezed orange juice was the best in years, and the elevated avocado toast was to die for. The Western omelet is a generous portion, and the Cali cakes were delicious. The biscuits and gravy were made with love, with a thick, sausage-forward white gravy. The mimosas are next level, made with hand-squeezed orange juice. The space is clean, bright, and comfortable with a great Main Street view. The owner sets the tone, and the service matches the standard, with friendly staff greeting guests immediately. Even when busy, service is great and efficient. This is a great place to come with the family for wonderful food.
