“I live in Irvine & commute to work once a month & I try not to ever leave Rancho Mirage without stopping at my favorite bakery & sandwich shop. I go to the small one inside Clark's Nutrition & their sandwiches always hit!!! I sometimes also grab a loaf of fresh bread, bagels or the Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

We shared the Bystander on jalapeno cheddar bread & the Prime Cut on rye bread. My reliable option is the Aspen on a croissant. SO GOOD! I am never disappointed in anything I try there. My assistant tells me the full store in Palm Springs is even better & I cannot wait to try it.“

“Highly recommend for cakes. We ordered a custom German chocolate birthday cake, as well as several crumb cakes to have around for breakfast. “This donut shop is a little gem! I stopped in Sunday afternoon for a dozen. The ladies working outside and behind the counter were welcoming, courteous, and helpful. The lady behind the counter made suggestions for donuts that were delicious! I live in LA and know some awesome places to grab a sweet treat and I'm going to add Swiss Donuts to my list! The cake donuts were fresh and moist, the raise donuts (yeast) were light and delicate. These pastries are definitely made with care. “The only negative I have was that the soda machine was not working, however the owner gave us a can in compensation. BUT sandwiches are absolutely delicious I also bought a pumpkin and chocolate chip loaf bread freshly baked. Only $8 in house made! Patio is a plus PET FRIENDLY!“

“Just your very unassuming donut shop where you can get the tastiest fresh donuts in Palm Desert. If I delay going there in the morning chances are there won’t be any of the yummy glazed and frosted donuts that I especially like. By early afternoon there’s a pretty sparse assortment left in the case. When I manage to get there early enough, there are frequent customers buying boxes of the delicious donuts. I have an urge to pop over there now but will have to wait til morning—he closes every day in the afternoon or when his donut case is emptied out. If you’re in the neighborhood some morning stop in and get a few donuts.“

Vacation mode fully achieved! I've been indulging in all the delicious foods I usually try to avoid. If you’re ever in town, this is the place to eat before you head out!

The vibe here is all about FRESH. We drove over from Phoenix, which was about a 3 1/2 to 4-hour trip, and let me tell you, it was totally worth it for some wholesome eats!

We tried the New Porter and the Hacienda, and everything was freshly made that day—nothing short of incredible! The sides, like the pickle slice and the potato salad, were absolutely fantastic.

After lunch, we couldn’t resist grabbing some bread and buns to go! They had so many choices, including cookies and muffin tops. And drinks? They have everything from bottled water to fountain Pepsi, with free refills to keep you refreshed!

The bread we got was out of this world—cinnamon roll bread and dinner rolls that were to die for!

You can choose between patio seating or eating It’s a definitely must-visit spot!“

“Hands down the best mom&pop donut ? shop in the desert! The storefront is humble, but inside you’ll find fresh donuts that are sweet, fluffy, and delish! The photos don’t do them justice. They also have croissants, bagels, apple fritters, buttermilk bars, etc. The new owners (2024) are super nice and strikingly professional. We always stop here on our way to La Quinta. Worth it! ?

“I’ve been coming to this bakery for years. The bread and pastries are always fresh. The tortas are made with their homemade bolillos. I had their torta de pechuga de pollo. It comes with avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese and a side of jalapeños. The bread was warm and fluffy. Definitely recommend.“
