“Recently dined here with a friend and had a lovely experience. The food was good (especially the mushroom toast) and the service was excellent! Every single person who came to our table was friendly and helpful. Bonus, free and easy parking.“
“The oysters were fresh and juicy. I had Grilled mixed which included three different meat selections, good for those who's very indecisive like myself.I also tried a bite of both seabass and cod. Really like the taste and texture of the cod (don't remember the name of the dish), but the seabass was a bit dry for me.We still ordered some dessert when everyone was so full, the "peach" one was not too sweet and not too heavy after the main course.Overall, the food/service was good but pricey.“
“Great coffee selections, excellent service. First visit there I went solely for coffee. I didn't know they served food. Asparagus omelette was the special of the day. Going back to sample their menu. If it's as good as their coffees, I'm in for a treat!“
“Meal was wonderful. My only issue is that it took awhile to bring the wine, and then more time to bring the salad. We were not even half way through salad when the main course arrived, which they offered to keep warm, but we declined. Timing just a bit off for a restaurant meal, but flavors were very nice.“
“Excellent French Bakery !! Delicious Pasteries, Cookies, Cakes, Eclairs, and the BEST Creme Brulee this Side of France ?? . ?Parking: Parking Spaces Always Available.Wheelchair accessibility: It's Wheelchair ♿️ Accessible .“
“The service was phenomenal and the food was beyond anything we have had in North County, honestly. While the food is very obviously elegant, the atmosphere is a nice mix of upscale and local Escondido comfort. The dishes are different each week and each course is very rich and appeals to many unique appetites! The only downside for us is it is very expensive (worth it, though, for sure!), so we cannot go as often!“
“The pastries on display are exquisite. I tried the dolce de leche which was a pyramid of chocolate cake bottom with layers of cream, and caramel cream. This was decadent and I loved that it, and several other desserts were gluten free. The crepes and Croque Madame that other dinners were having also looked great.“
“Ordered bacon, egg n cheese croissant for myself n a ham, egg n cheese croissant for the wife....I thought the potatoes were okay, but my wife loved it. To wash down the yummy food, also got their tiramisu. The service was excellent, coffee solid, great location n a little overpriced..... but I'll still be back if I'm in the area.“
“This place is very nice and laid back. Nice fountain outside you can sit under the trees and relax. There is no bathroom in the cafe, you need to get the key and walk back into a different part of the plaza. It wasn't too difficult to find but not readily accessible if someone else has the key.The outside tables aren't always very clean but it's a relaxing spot. The coffee and the pastries are delicious. Lots of little birds that sing and look for scraps they add personality and a charm to the location. The trees drop small flowers that will fall in your hair if you sit under them.“
“Food is decent. Got the breakfast sandwich, iced chai and a fruit danish. It wasn't bad, but nothing I am dying to go back to. Chai was sweet, reminded me of tazo boxed chai you can purchase. Danish was pretty good, expensive but good. Service was great. Everyone was nice and helpful. You are going to spend a good amount here. I thought it would be a quick bite to eat. It was quick but the price was sit down restaurant pricing. There is indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking around the back.“
“It is the first vendor you see when you go up the escalator/stairs to go into SkyDeck. The display is gorgeous: colorful macaronis, beautiful cake tarts, delicious pastries and puffy croissants. There is a big menu sign that shows coffee options, crepe, and sandwiches.I think they have the best croissants in San Diego. Their butter croissant is flaky outside and soft inside. Their chocolate and almond croissants are magnificent when warmed up. I also tried some of their fruit tarts before. They are beautifully baked and yummy. I like to gift these for last minute birthdays. You can definitely order their cake ahead of time as well. Their coffee is mediocre unfortunately. It tasted like syrup and bitter espresso. Service is fast and friendly. I have no complaint :)“
“Sitting in a window seat, bathed in the afternoon sun, enjoying the yummy mixed fruit tart and coffee, was a great experience.Parking: Parking depends on the hours. There are quite a few small shops around, on site parking might not be available. There is a large parking lot a few steps away for trader joe's.“
“You can always count on a delicious dinner at this place!! First time I ate here was approximately 10 yrs ago & I keep coming. Their soups have always been so good! Well balanced, nice consistency almost velvety. They have a dish for everyone. Their service is very good. I would only wish they have a wider variety in their wine list. It’s a pricey restaurant, but so worth it!“
