“I grew up eating these bagels and I think they're probably the best I've ever had. Definitely get a berry bagel and a jalapeno cheese (it's spicy!). Anytime I come back to town I make sure to stop in and pick up a dozen to take home and throw in the freezer. A Redding institution and definitely something not to miss out on.“

Really great prices, two big pastries (concha and a vanilla hand pie) and a handmade wallet/keychain was only $8 total! They also offer soup mixes, jellys, cookies, doughnuts, and a menagerie of pastries for more than reasonable prices. It's H.A.R.D. to not weigh 600lbs with all their goodies.“

I was extremely cleaver and witty talking about the the bread and the pizza and the pies and the desserts and how amazing it all is and how I would recommend it to everyone... and then I clicked off the the page and lost it all.🥲So this is what you get now. I would highly recommend almost everything at When Pie Meets Bread. I would also recommend stopping by early enough to pick something up when going to a dinner party. I, myself, can never think of anything to take to those things and picking up a veggie tray at WinCo just doesn't ever seem enough. But who wouldn't like fresh baked bread or pie or cookies or desserts? Honestly, if you haven't gone there yet I would check it out. I have not been disappointed with anything I have had there.😃“

“SCB is run by a really sweet husband and wife team. I appreciated their great customer service and use of organic flours. The Olive and Thyme bread was soft, fresh, and perfect. I found them at the Redding Farmer’s Market at City Hall on Saturday mornings.“

“We made it just 30 minutes before closing and were initially disappointed as the selection of Mochi Doughnuts were very limited. We also wondered if the quality would suffer, having been out all day. We are happy to report that they tasted perfectly fresh and delicious! In fact, we ended up trying flavors we may have skipped and were pleased to have tried them! The friendly employee asked if it was our first visit (which it was) and proved very helpful—a refreshing change from most service experiences these days. We can't wait to return our next trip to Redding!“

“Went this morning with my son to the mall and promised we’d grab Cinnabon on the way out. I stopped by before they officially opened, and the gentleman behind the counter was so nice and let us know that the hot ones (my son’s request) were coming out in about five minutes. We came back, and the lady who rung us up was also super nice! Our Cinnabon was just as we expected it would be, and we’ll be back again. Thank you for the wonderful service this morning!“
