“Gold hills is, bar none, the nicest 18 hole course in Redding, CA. Full driving range, well maintained, and beautifully executed. Beyond that, the staff here is incredible. I took a set of lessons with Jeff Thomason and I couldn’t be happier. I’m new to golf so there is plenty to correct. The lessons are 30 mins long, and Jeff utilizes every second so the value is incredible. Following his direction and practicing his drills have already fixed a multitude of my bad habits, and I am super thankful for his expertise, and his ability to quickly identify exactly where a golfer could use improvement. All in all this course is about as good as it gets for the north state. If you haven’t played here, you’re missing out. Time to go practice. Thanks again Jeff!“
“Our friend Julia recommended we eat here on our drive from Oregon. It was terrific! Minestrone, salad, and BLAT sandwich were all delicious with fresh, homemade flavor. Warm bread with dipping oil/vinegar included. Very nice glass of sauvignon blanc. Their cheesecake was old-school style -- just the way we like it -- with perfect creamy consistency and lots of crust. It was busy, yet our server Paul and his young assistant were attentive and efficient. And we loved the jazz music playing!“
“My husband and I decided to take a trip to Burney Falls and wanted a place to sit in and have lunch. We found this place on Yelp. Once we entered, Angela (I believe was her name) told us the kitchen wouldn't be serving dinner until 4:30pm and that we were more than welcome to grab a drink at the bar in the mean time. 10 minutes before dinner time she asked us what we would like so she can put the order in and have it ready by then. She was very welcoming and easy to speak to. She provided great hospitality for our first time at the restaurant. She definitely made our experience great. We tried the soup of the day and it was chicken noodle soup. I was convinced that it was from a can, boy was I wrong. The celery still had a crunch to it and was fresh! Then I ordered the cut of the day medium rare and it was seasoned well and was perfect. My husband and I didn't expect much but we were extremely satisfied and ordered food to go. We would definitely come here again.“
