La Joie Bakery Reviews
I saw a friend post about getting coffee from this shop and it looked amazing, so we decided to try it—and wow, we were impressed. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and respectful. The food is top tier. We tried the Savory Scones and a breakfast croissant, and they were honestly the best we’ve ever had. To top it off, they have GREAT PRICING! We’ll definitely be coming back soon and recommending this local spot to our friends and family.
Wow! So good. I got “the Kate’s drink” and it was amazing. Also, all their sweets are so tasty!!! I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to try it.
I kid you not, every single thing I tried… I said was the best thing I’ve ever eaten! The strawberry cream bun literally had me at a loss for words, BUT THEN I TRIED THE baenoffee tart banana cream thing and had to reconsider. We tried 8 different items and all of which were just insane. The coffee was a strong blend, it complimented the pastries so well. I cannot say enough good things about this bakery. La Joie Bakery, located in the Redding Public Market, has quickly become a standout local spot. The venue is gorgeous, with an elegant atmosphere, and the staff is super friendly, attentive, and respectful. The food selection is beautiful, and the food is top tier. The Savory Scones, breakfast croissant, and strawberry cream bun are mentioned as the best ever had. The baenoffee tart banana cream thing is also a highlight, alongside the breakfast sandwich and cheddar bacon scone. The coffee is a strong blend that compliments the pastries well, and the matcha is poppin. The gluten-free brownies are the best ever eaten, and the macaroons taste exactly like ones from France. The cheesecake, crescents, and honey butter bread are delicious.
The bakery has GREAT PRICING for some items, though some find it a little spendy, but worth it for the quality of ingredients and labor. There are a few notes on sweetness levels, with some items like cupcakes and drinks being way too sweet for some. The donuts have good flavors and fillings but average dough. The service has been consistently amazing, and the general presentation is refreshing. It is a great spot for Redding, and many are rooting for the business to succeed as improvements keep happening. The iced mocha is not sweet enough for some, but still enjoyed. Overall, it is an absolutely unmatched bakery worth supporting.
