“Great place! I tried their chicken in salsa verde and cheese with rajas tamales. Both were great! They also have a variety of pan dulce, and when I asked the lady working there she said they also do burritos, pozole, birthday cakes, and other stuff. I didn't see a menu so be sure to ask!“

“The place was super cute, very clean, and the owners were so nice and helpful! Donuts were AMAZING, and the boba Tea was probably the best I've had. The boba pearls especially were my favorite! I think the prices were very reasonable, considering where I used to get boba tea from was more expensive and the restaurant was disgusting and smelled horrible. 100% recommend this place, and will return!

“I just spent 15 minutes writing an incredible review for When Pie Meets Bread. I was extremely cleaver and witty talking about the the bread and the pizza and the pies and the desserts and how amazing it all is and how I would recommend it to everyone... and then I clicked off the the page and lost it all.🥲So this is what you get now. I would highly recommend almost everything at When Pie Meets Bread. I would also recommend stopping by early enough to pick something up when going to a dinner party. I, myself, can never think of anything to take to those things and picking up a veggie tray at WinCo just doesn't ever seem enough. But who wouldn't like fresh baked bread or pie or cookies or desserts? Honestly, if you haven't gone there yet I would check it out. I have not been disappointed with anything I have had there.😃“

“SCB is run by a really sweet husband and wife team. I appreciated their great customer service and use of organic flours. The Olive and Thyme bread was soft, fresh, and perfect. I found them at the Redding Farmer’s Market at City Hall on Saturday mornings.“

“We had some friends in town from the coast, and they brought their bikes, so of course we had to take them for a ride along the Sacramento River Trail. Along the way, we made a quick detour into downtown for a snack and stopped at La Joie Bakery.

The place is incredibly clean, the staff is friendly, and the baked goods are absolutely amazing. There was a line almost to the door when we arrived, but honestly, that says something about a place! Even with the crowd, the service was fast and everything moved along quickly.

Definitely worth the little detour off the trail.“

I stopped by before they officially opened, and the gentleman behind the counter was so nice and let us know that the hot ones (my son’s request) were coming out in about five minutes.
