“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Melody’s Place – A Quirky Gem in Lytle Creek
We stopped at Melody’s Place on a whim while passing through Lytle Creek, and it ended up being one of the sweetest surprises of our trip. This quirky little restaurant and bar, attached to the Scotland Store, has such a fun local vibe — it’s clearly a beloved gathering spot for the community.
Our bartender, Rae, was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel instantly welcome and mixed a great margarita. The gentleman from the store even gifted me a postcard, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The walls are packed with historic photos that give the place character, and the small gift shop adds to the charm. Melody’s Place is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger, chat with the locals, and soak up a bit of real Lytle Creek history.

“Jim was an excellent server. Food was served hot and fresh. I ordered the chicken fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes, my side was coleslaw. On Thursdays, order the steak and all you can eat shrimp after 4pm. Mac n cheese was creamy and Granddaughter loved it. Coming back for sure“

“went there tonight, I guess they were getting ready to close. the guy still seated us and served us prime rib dinner and salmon dinner. it was so good, and super friendly service. the cook was great, I had to have her brought out so I could thank her personally. got some great cakes to take home, and those were so tasty. I will definitely be going back to try more of there menu.“

“The food is very authentic, down right to the drinks (banana flavored soda being one of them). The food is prepared right on the spot so not a place I'd recommend for a half hour lunch but definitely one I'd see myself coming again if I have a craving. The baleadas are top notch and so are the enchiladas (different from Mexican)“

“Extensive menu with lots of choices and appropriate prices. The food was very flavorful. Our waitress was very friendly and quick to bring our food on drinks. Their ice-cream for dessert had many unique flavors like lucuma, chirimoya and maracuya 😋“

“Thae service was good, Keon was attentive. We were a little disappointed that the mothers day special is no longer available because apprently according to the manager it was sold out on thursday and we’re only Saturday. I find that misleading as we could have gone to another restaurant. We purchased another item and more but the mgr ws giving us trouble about not having a code on the on the Norms app for the hamburger which is not our fault. But after having a few minutes of conversation and finally decided to credit the hamburger show on the app.. Perhaps this manager needs more training with Customer Service and honoring the special that shows on the app. Furthermore, he also needs to make sure that the restaurant have enough supplies for whatever specials you guys are running.“
