“We arrived about 10 minutes before closing and Onyx stayed open late for us ordering a lot of food for 4 very hungry people. He was patient while we figured out what we wanted and quickly went to make massive amount of food. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

Everything was delicious! I was especially excited to see organic ingredients in their house baked banana bread and Sunday pancakes (will have to return for them).

My daughter loved the ramen, and my husband, who's picky about refried beans, was impressed. They put so much meat in the tacos that I could have made 2 more tacos. Even the ramen was loaded. “Great flavor on all meats pastor, asada, cabeza and other organs (soo good). The team lost some people due to the city forcing all vendors to actual food trucks, seems like they let some folks go. But the flavor is still the same. Self serve sauces, and they have this super hot one in a pour handle. If you like spice try it. The green avacado sauce is less spicy and my 2nd favorite sauce. The portion does seem smaller than prior to the food truck.“

“Great place! Chill and friendly atmosphere. I was glad to see they serve nopales on their Aztec tacos. Nopales are very healthy, nutritious, and delicious, but sadly, not many places offer them. That’s part of what sets this place apart.
Also, the service was outstanding! 👍🏼 They made me feel very welcome there.
I’d say both the food and service are 5 stars. I don’t live in the area, but if I did it would be my go to lunch spot.“

The one thing that irked me was that when I went to pay for our bill, it was $36 for 2 of us. I gave the waitress a $50 bill and told her to keep the change. She said that unfortunately they don't take $50 bills? I only had 2 $20 bills on me besides the $50, so the girl got a $4 tip instead of a $14 tip? The owner has some ridiculous rule about not accepting $50's or $100's, so the wait staff has to suffer? Seems absolutely ridiculous to me!“

“This place is pretty good . We had the fish taco meal for about $13 dollars . Came with rice and beans . Let me tell you the tacos were piping hot and fresh 10/10 . They will bring you lemons and peppers witch I have to also add the pepper was seasoned, now that was a game changer , I spilt it open took the seeds out and I lace it on my tacos 10/10 . We also shared 3 rolled tacos . It was also good but I will add pretty expensive but definitely worth every penny . We used the chips they gave us as nachos with the green sauce they have and leftover beans rice and other leftover veggies . All in all a perfect meal .. I complemented the chef cause if the food is perfect the chef should know . Oh and horchata taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk . 10/10 but no refill . Only juices are free refill . Next time“

“National Taco Day is on October 4 every year but today's recognition goes to Chronic Tacos their breakfast burritos, which I get with Impossible beef and discovered at the end of August 2025. I was rushing in before 11:30 AM to pick up his and hers to take home on an ice block. Now they are served all day, so I can pick them up later and has become a weekly thing. 🌯🥳
Impossible Beef, hash, and egg is the perfect base and for toppings, I get hubs cheese and hot sauce, I get cilantro and pico de gallo 😋 (The first time we tried the breakfast burritos with guac but it was more distracting and they are tastier without it 🥑)

I first tried Chronic Tacos the summer of 2018. Being vegetarian, I tried their potato taco, and the 2nd time made it into a meal with beans, Spanish rice, chips and spicy mayo.

I made it back in 2020 when I learned they had Beyond Beef, and tried it on a burrito! I also made it in before 10 AM to try the Beyond Beef on a breakfast burrito 🌯

I ordered the burritos with white rice, as I was kindly advised the Spanish rice has chicken broth(!)
I wasn't made aware of this on my first visit when I ordered the Spanish rice with my potato taco, but fast forward to 2025 I was again made aware of this when I was about to order it with the Impossible Beef that they now carry.

I wish Chronic Tacos made vegetarian Spanish rice or made it clear on their menu that it is not, but I am so glad they have sustained a vegetarian beef option 👍👏
Spring Break week I picked up dinner to go twice, a good opportunity to support one of the few eateries open while the students are gone.
The Bowl-Rito starts at $10.25 plus Impossible Beef for $2 and guac for $2.25. It was a hefty bowl for $14.50 and turned into 2 meals. Similarly the Burrito version would also be $14.50 but for an add'l $1.50 I had to try the Hot Cheeto Burrito, and hubs and I both were surprised by how good they were! Adding the Cheetos made the burritos ginormous so they also became 2 meals, dinner and lunch the next day. Although I can no longer handle dairy and prefer the breakfast burrito, I definitely recommend trying it!“
