Went in with a few friends and it just fit that kind of night. The lamb belly skewers came out fast and disappeared even faster, smoky at the edges, juicy in the middle, with that charcoal taste staying around for a second. That cut can get heavy sometimes but these ate really easy. We kept reaching for one more without talking much, which usually says enough. I had it with a cold Sapporo and that combo landed right. Not doing too much, just solid skewers and a table that worked...read full review
Sat down still a bit hungry from the day and that first plate of skewers hit the table, all smoke and little sizzling sounds. Meat was actually juicy, like you bite in and it drips a bit, nice char though, tbh I got sauce all over my fingers. Room was a touch smoky but felt okay for this kind of grill place.
I like the food here, it’s a nice spot to get night time comfort food. The portion sizes are generous, the 2 people pot was able to feed 4 people, with some leftover.

Yuejuer BBQ 約局兒 is a spot for Northeastern Chinese BBQ and big iron-pot stews, all on real charcoal. The room can get a touch smoky, but that fits this kind of grill place. The lamb belly skewers come out fast, smoky at the edges and juicy in the middle, with that charcoal taste staying around for a second. The cut can get heavy sometimes, but these ate really easy. The grilled green beans are also delicious. The iron-pot stew bubbles away in the middle, cozy and a bit loud, but in a good way. The portion sizes are generous, and the 2 people pot was able to feed 4 people, with some leftover. Staff moved fast and kept checking the grill. The beer selection is simple but cold, and a cold Sapporo or light lager works with all the smoke and spice. It is a great place to host a small group and actually talk over dinner instead of shouting. Casual vibe, nothing fussy, and a nice spot to get night time comfort food.
