This place has disappointed me so much. Last night I placed an order to go. One of the items I ordered was red curry. For whoever is reading this post, please google what "red Thai curry" looks like or even look at the photograph next to red curry on their menu, then take a look at the photo of the item I received. They look NOTHING alike. Their red curry lists things like bamboo and eggplant in here. Both of which aren't included in what I got. This is NOT red curry. The items in whatever the heck I got was beef, beef balls and tripe in a reaaly dark brown soup. It tastes and looks nothing like red curry. I don't even know what the F they were thinking sending me off with this. And maybe it's my fault for not checking too before I left their premises, but I ordered other dishes and was in a rush and didn't have time to look thru everything I got. I expect when I order and pay for something, to receive what I expect and this was not it. I'm very disappointed. Now I wasted my money and have to throw away food. Would not recommend this place at all. Don't go here. You won't get what you paid for.

Was excited to try this place, out as Lao food is one of my favorites cuisines . Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Flavor was lacking and service was extremely slow. All our meals came out at different times even though there were only three of us at the table.

Me And My Bf Was In The Area So We'd Thought We'd Finally Come Give This Place A Try, Since We Did Enjoy The Papaya Spot, Which Was The Previous Place Here. We Came Here On The 29th Around 1pm, And It Wasn't Fairly Busy. Just About Three Other Small Groups Of People. When We Walked In We Were Greeted And The Girl Was Ready To Take Our Order Right Away. Being Our First Time, We Asked Her To Give Us A Moment To Decide What We Wanted. We Decided On The Chicken Wings & The Pork Belly, Both Came With Choice Of Sticky Or White Rice. We Paid Then Went And Sat. I've Seen Reviews Of When They First Opened And Was Using Plastic And Styrofoam, But Not Anymore. Anyways, We Didn't Wait Too Long For Our Food To Come, Probably Took About 10-15 Minutes. Everything Was Hot And Freshly Cooked. The Chicken Skin Was Crispy, The Way I Liked Lol , And So Was The Pork Belly. Only Thing I Would Say Is That The Pork Belly Was Kind Of Plain. It Didn't Taste Like It Had Enough Seasoning On It, But Dipping It In The Sauce Provided Did Help. I Would Still Get It Again Also. Overall, Everything Was Pretty Good, From The Food To The Atmosphere. We Do Plan On Coming Back Whenever We're In The Area Again Or Even Craving Something.

My boyfriend and I walked in at 7:30pm on Thursday and they didn't allow us dine in, only allowed to go orders. This restaurant needs better management or they should change the business hours. What a waste of our time! If I could I'd give them 0 stars.

We drove to Stockton for their red curry. Glad their in Sacramento now. Also very reasonable prices.

Um...when did they start serving kapiek without the pork bloods? I didnt get asked to add any on either. Basil chicken was also on the oily and sweeter side. Overall, mediocre.

Fat asian dude didnt answer the phone so I pulled up and ordered, 40 minutes before they close and fat asian guy with glasses didn't answer his phone so I told him his phone must be broken, then I called the phone while inside the store 5x, but guess what the phone ain't broken he just don't want to answer the phone. Told him his phone must be broken to look at me with a confused look!

My first visit here, I ordered the kao piek and it's the BEST in Sacramento. The noodles are fresh and soft ,not hard. My 2nd return, I had the lao style papaya platter. Again, DEEELICIOUS. And I'm going to be on my way back right now to try the chicken larb.

I order some food from green papaya through doordash & they took forever to make my food because my doordash driver waited for almost one hour & when I try calling them to see what's taking forever not once not twice but 5 times & no answer at all & when I finally got my order my order was messed up I asked for sticky rice & I got regular steam rice instead & I also found a piece of hair in my papaya salad.

I ordered the basil fried rice from their food truck at UC Davis. There were several large pieces of egg shell. Be better.

I've been following Green Papaya on IG for a while now and decided to give it a try. We ordered the red curry kapom, shredded beef laarb, egg rolls and kapiak. I was really disappointed with the red curry kapom and expected to be more tasteful. However, it was really sweet and full of sugar, which I added two more slices of lime and fish sauce to enhance the taste. The egg rolls were mediocre and has no flavor. The kopiak was probably the best out of all of the dishes. The broth was good yet barley any noodles. Lastly, the shredded beef laarb was the biggest disappointment. They added too much lemon yet no sodium, definitely not a good mixture. I guess the advertisement/marketing on social media is too good to be true, but not enough to back it up. Pictures can be deceiving.

Their Kao Piek is my absolute favorite! Broth is super flavorful, especially with the added fried garlic. If you're craving chicken noodle soup, this is it. I always scoop a small spoonful or two of their delicious chili oil and a squeeze of lime to give my soup an added kick. Their Kao Poon is delicious too, broth is savory and rich. With the Kao Poon, I enjoy it with just a squeeze of lime for added freshness and it cuts down the heaviness. These styles of noodle soups does not have a lot of chicken pieces, but portions of soup and noodles make up for it. I've tried a few other items on the menu, but they weren't as memorable as their Kao Piek and Kao Poon. Walk in to order and they will bring the food to your table. I've always had friendly service. Nice and casual environment.

We ordered the Thai style papaya salad and the Lao's spicy sausage and both was super delicious. I am glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews and decided to try this place out. Prices are very reasonable, the restaurant was clean and we waited no more than 15 minutes for our food. Service was great as well. Overall, we are very happy with this place and will definitely be back.
