We were able to try Blue Agave Taqueria & Bar tonight and we are hooked. I am very much looking forward to when we can enjoy this wonderful food in a fun atmosphere with our fellow humans. I wish I had caught her name, but our order taker was delightful and knowledgeable. I'm for one looking forward to next Tuesday with the family.
My family and I saw a post on Elk Grove forums about this place and so we gave it a try. Handmade tortillas enhanced the meal. We tried the crispy tacos, the quesabirria tacos (amazing), and al pastor tacos. Everything we ate was very good. Highly recommend. Oh, and the young ladies that took care of ya, were so friendly and gave us good recommendations. We will be back again soon!
We visited this place tonight and I have got to tell you, service is top notch. This family owned establishment got this right for sure, and since there’s no indoor eating, when we got home we ate the best tacos in the Sacramento area by far. For the last 3 years we have been looking for something this good, and now we found it. Not enough stars to give.

Blue Agave Taquería & Bar | Mexican is the best place in EG for Mexican food. The vibe is always welcoming, with fast, friendly service and a great salsa bar. Customers enjoy the taco Tuesday deals and find the food fairly priced. The taco salad is a hit, as are the chicken and steak soft tacos, which are very tasty. The red chunky salsa is so spicy and lingers on the tongue. A Carnitas burrito was packed, delicious, and tender. Shrimp tacos and chicken tacos are also great, and an espresso martini impressed one guest when the bartender brought another because the first wasn’t aesthetic enough, showing the establishment takes pride in what they serve. The Mexican rice is fluffy and tastes good with salsa and sour cream. For takeout, it is a pretty good spot for yummy CA burritos. Order ahead online to save time. The service is super quick and accurate, and the bartender is very friendly and attentive. Overall, the experience and food are good.
