I truly love this place and have been going there for years. BUT the entire restaurant looks like it was built in 1800's and never had a make over. So so so old and dirty. There is so much trash outside, everywhere around the restaurant. This area is infested with bums and they throw trash and I know its not restaurants fault but this needs to be picked up at least. The building is so dirty, the bathrooms are so nasty... I just wish the owner took time to fix it at least during the pandemic hold. I do love the restaurant, the food, the staff, they are like family to me. Sometimes I want to just come there and pick up the trash around it for free but it'll be too much lol. The owner is a super sweet and caring lady.

I was disappointed in the flavor of the pho I received. There was also a piece of hair in the bean sprouts, I discovered this after I finished majority of my meal. I'm upset I spent my money on this.

Had Vietnamese rice plate many times here before and it was decent.Today, we tried canh chua (catfish sour soup), fish clay pot, pork rib clay pot, salty fish chicken fried rice, cream cheese wonton. The catfish in the soup was super dry and tough. We left all that fish behind. The others are ok. Not recommended. The restaurant was slow today but the server never came back to check on us until the end for togo box. I dropped my chopstick, waved her couple times and ended up getting a pair at their station myself.

Went pick up on my lunch time. Ordered to go with xtra meat. The meat was not what I ordered but I accepted coz in hurry get home back to work. Came home to eat it for lunch and it smelled bad. The vegi look bad. I don't trust that they don't reuse their bean sprouts. Disappointed and was charged $0.75 To Go which is fine but at least give me not bad meat. Not returning. I only go there coz there's no other Hoa Viet in North Sacramento.

This is a restaurant with Vietnamese food that is more on the expensive side, but the food is always fresh and has a better presentation. Because it's more pricey, there's not a lot of people here. The costumer service is good and I don't mind that it's pricier since the portions are decent.

Best Phu in Sacramento Soup is always hot! And so much flavor!! Coke is good!! Service is great!! Quiet which I like! They are always busy which I like!! Best soup so far in Sacramento!! Great service! Nice employees!!

I ordered my food at 2pm and the lady said it's a 20 minutes. So I waited for 10 minutes and came in and my food was ready. But when I came in there was a guy finishing his order and I waited patiently then two girls came i stepped away not that far but still in line they just went to the front. But keep in mind the lady at the front wasn't there she was still helping the guy that was in front of me grabbing his order. The lady who was at the front desk noticed I was waiting first so after she finished helping the guy she helped me. I'm not the type of person to confront someone if they cut me off but it was a bit annoying. I really appreciate the lady! Thank you so much!

We got food for 4 via DoorDash and it was amazing. Orange chicken, 2 phos, chow mein, and egg rolls. We're going back for sure. Amazing food!
Bad quality and price is over. I felt a lot of salts in my bowl of noodles. Customer service was not good either. Not recommended

This place has great food! Staff is always friendly and service is quick. The place is a little dated inside but the menu makes up for it. Can't go wrong with the Duck soup and spring rolls.

I came with my wife and little daughter today for dine in. We ordered Pho meatball, tofu fried rice and salted and pepper tofu since these were our usual favorites. The pho was ok. The fried rice was good but the quantity or serving size is so small now. It used to be able to serve 2 or 3 people but now only enough for one but with a price increase. We used to take some home to go but didn't do that today. lastly we ordered pepper salted tofu. Now in menu it says "pepper salted green bean or tofu" we asked for the tofu and the waitress asked for the number I showed and told her we wanted the tofu...after a long wait we got the green beans. By then we were finished with our food and upset cause we wanted to eat the the tofu with the pho and fried rice. We asked for the tofu to go. Once it arrived we were sorely disappointed with the portion it was so tiny. 14 bucks for something that barely covers the surface of to go packaging surface when they used to pile those things up until it touch the cover. We used to go here many times and even ordered to go during covid. Food was great back then. I'm not sure when things changed but now...The quality and quantity went down hill while prices went up. We will not go here again. Used to be one of our favorites but not anymore.

This place has changed constantly over the years. I always order the broccoli tofu, and it changes a bit each time. It's not very clean, and the wait time is a little long, but the food tastes good. They used to be very affordable, but it's a tad overpriced now.

This is johnny, if i could chose no star rating. I would put a big 0 star for today 10:05 am dinning experience with my wife and kid. We put the order in at 10:05 a. for two bowl of pho. Then there a swcond customer walk in after us order their pho too. And thwn the got their pho but not us and then we wait til 10:37 am for 2 bowl of pho. Then the staffer walk by us and dont even talk to us or its seems like they pretend that we werent there. Super poor customer services and this will be my last time dine at hoat viet at madison ave.
