Been coming here for along time. Service can be hit or miss, however was great on this last trip. Food is always good, I usually get your basic white guy sesame chicken / beef teriyaki. My wife get sushi here often and says it's great too. Restaurant is a little gloomy doesn't seem to have a lot of customers on my last few trips, foods great not sure why. That being said I haven't had to wait to be seated here often, I'll be back soon.

This restaurant is always great with service, Japanese cuisine and it's casual atmosphere. The sashimi cuts were fresh and high grade fish, sushi was seasoned perfectly and my Tempura was perfectly crunchy. I didn't leave anything on my bento box! We were a party of 9 and were spoiled with great service. Parking is really easy and free. I hope to return soon.

I miss the boats but understand why they got rid of them. As always, I love the rolls! I wish they would switch to natural ginger (not pink) as I eat a lot of ginger.Kid-friendliness: They have large fish tanks which kids love

Here's a Japanese restaurant in name only. If you know Japanese food especially if you've grown up eating Japanese food you'll be disappointed with the flavors here. This isn't to say the flavors are bad. They are just not going to be what you remember from grandma's house. Teriyaki sauce is so simple to make yet they use something that is gel-like and nothing like real Teri sauce. Their dashi lacks flavor as does their sukiyaki. The flavor that is in the sukiyaki soup is a salty beef base with no hint of any mirin or sugar. On the bright side, our waitress, Whitney, was polite, helpful and a joy to talk with.

Honestly this place has the best fried ika so I’d rate it an 11/10. The food is always amazing and consistent in taste.

The best Japanese dining in Elk Grove. We've been coming here for many years. Generous portion sizes.

Sukiyaki is back! Beef! Some of the best around. Try it before it's gone. Everyone is still nice.

Been coming here since they opened many years ago, along with Mikuni's, and Satori. Came here today because we had bad experience at a new Japanese restaurant on the corner of waterman and Elk Grove blvd. Osaka Sushi food is always good. The staff has changed over the years. When they are short on staff, they do their best customer service with a smile. The place has survived while other eateries next to them have changed hands. Thanks for save from a bad experience from another restaurant on a Friday night. Aloha

Osaka Sushi has been our go-to for Japanese food in the Elk Grove area for decades. The entrees and sushi are consistently good. The dishes I normally order have an "aji" (flavor) profile that I would consider authentic. Portion sizes are very generous as well. Some of our favorites are Chicken Katsu, Tonkatsu, Sesame Chicken, Sukiyaki, Muguro Nigiri, Plain Udon and Niki Udon.

Osaka Sushi has been our favorite restaurant for very many years. It is consistent with the qualify of their food and flavors. The atmosphere is mellow. They have a good variety of sushi. One of our favorite servers is Nelson, he is very efficient and knowledgeable. I am very excited to see their dessert menu is also back. Cannot wait to be back.

Good food and service. Fish tanks could use fish in them or just remove those empty tanks.

Food was very good, however the service was disappointing. Felt rushed and that we were a bother.

Came here on a whim on an early day off school and was not disappointed. Not busy during their lunch opening on this particular day (Wed.) and the rolls came out pretty fast. The rolls are pretty expensive, but honestly, the size of them definitely fits the price even with the inflation on ingredients. I got the Godzilla (bc I always want to try a restaurant's deep-fried roll) and the Y2K as others have recommended. I'm not sure how they are for to-go orders though. Definitely recommend trying. (:
