I only gave it a 1 star because (read the bottom ) and also because the owner had every excuse not to let me use the restroom. When she realized that I knew the "Health department requirements" then she allowed me to use it. The person that made my "Tlacoyos" = Vegetarian gorditas like/balls of masa with beans and potatoes inside. The inside was good but the tlacoyos were under cooked. The though (masa) was not fully cooked. Poor customer service. Even the cook looked angry. Not a clean establishment either. I was passing through to get my hair done in Salinas. Was very hungry and as a Plant base lifestyle person...It is very hard to find food. Tlacoyos was the easiest, I could find. I love beans. IDK overall... I would not recommend it or go back again. Positive: The restroom was clean. The beans, potatoes & salsa was good. (Green salsa) oh and they had yummy Mexican candy. I stocked up on those. If you want great Tlacoyos... I recommend "El Tule" in San José, across from the Santa Theresa Mall. They make the best "masa" yumminess. DAY AFTER UPDATE: It is now 9:15pm and I've had food poisoning the whole day. Non stop diarrhea, vomiting, fever and terrible pain in my stomach. Gross... never go there!!
