Overall, I enjoy the setting and ambiance at the Beerded Bean and will come here to do homework or bring friends and family that are visiting. I like that they have beer on tap, although would love to see some cider’s, kombucha’s and less hoppy beers. When I come in I always get a matcha tea, but shocked that the price is now $7 for a small matcha. And then an extra $1 for alternative milk, so my matcha was $8, plus $1 for tip so $9 total! Yikes! It is their only hot drink that is that much. The rest are around$5.50 which is reasonable. Their Carmel Valley location has matcha that is cheaper. I work in Monterey, and will get matcha’s in Monterey and Pacific Grove all throughout the week, and the most I usually pay for a small matcha is between $4.50-5.50 plus $.50-$1.00 for alternative milk. In fact Cafe Guarani and Captain Stokers, where I frequently visit, has a matcha that is only $4.50, Beerded Bean please consider lowering your Matcha price. I will continue to come here, but will have to change my drink up to a regular teabag, or head down the road to Starbucks for my Matcha, which I really do not want to do. :-(.
