Best cocktails, empanadas, and venue in San Clemente! This restaurant is near and dear to our heart. Check it out and you will know why.

My daughter got married in San Clemente and wanted gourmet Peruvian food to be served at her Rehearsal Dinner. We ordered food for 30 people that included Lomo Saltado (signature dish made w/filet mignon), Green Pollo w/Noodles (pesto sauce with chicken), Papa a la Huancaina (potatoes w/aji sauce), Empanadas (chicken, beef and spinach) and pitchers of sangria. Delicious! I have to add that the Pisco Sour drinks were out of this world! The ambiance was soft w/good music and a microphone that is a plus to any gathering. The supervisor, waiter and busboy were attentive to our every need and took away the stress that is present before a wedding. Go and experience a little bit of Peru!

Inka Mama‘s is a wonderful restaurant. The food is spectacular. The Seafood Chaufa, its like Fried Rice except better was oh so yummy! The ceviche and empanadas are also top notch! But I cannot say enough good things about the service! The owner truly takes care of his guests. The decor is lovely! Its a bit pricey but its worth it! We had drinks. We will be back

Love Friday nights at this place. DJ playing vinyl records. Super chill vibe. Amazing food. Highly suggest for a fun night out with friends or date night. Is it a speakeasy if you say there is a rad speakeasy? Gotta see it. Friday nights is where it’s at.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Make sure to save room for desert — the desert empanada is to die for.

I hadn’t given this restaurant a chance before , but my husband wanted to get out of same routine restaurants so we decided to give this one a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was really nice , the food was good and the staff was very friendly. I can definitely say that this place will be added to our rotation. The food was also fairly priced.

I absolutely love the food at Inka Mama no matter which location. This is my first time at this San Clemente location. I really love their debit and how they styled this Location. It's modern but with the hint of Peruvian culture, I loved the vibe. The person who served us was actually the owner, a super nice gentleman.
We ordered the Chicken Chicharron and fried yucca as the appetizer which my kids loved. The chicken was not dry and it had great flavor, a hint of spice was perfect. My husband ordered the classic dish Inka Special with chicken. I ordered the Tallarin Saltado, and Saltado Vianitas for the kids. It's their favorite! The meat was all seasoned well no weird after taste, vegetables were cooked properly and it still had that crisp. And rice and sauce from that stir-fry is super delicious together. And we didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive.

Worst Peruvian Food I’ve Ever Had

I’m Peruvian and have been living here for 8 years now. I always try Peruvian restaurants in California, but this was by far the worst.

The ceviche was terrible — just fish, lime, onion and a bit of cilantro. The fish was so overcooked it looked mushy and sandy. It tasted awful and there were only five tiny pieces.

My husband’s lomo saltado was extremely salty, had almost no fries, and didn’t taste like lomo saltado at all. Even the chicken and rice for our baby was way too salty and flavorless.

We barely ate anything, paid, and left. I never leave reviews but people need to know. I don’t recommend this place at all.
