Angelika Film Center & Café - Carmel Mountain is a higher end multiplex with good screens, good sound, and not a lot of previews. The theaters are very intimate, almost like a private screening, and are very comfortable. Tickets are reasonably priced, and Tuesdays offer a 50% discount. Friendly staff complements the package, and the line at the snack bar moved quickly. They play a varied selection of movies and have a robust snack bar with its good menu, and the food is pretty good, too. All seats are reclining & great movie choices. Signing up is easy & free & you get great discounts on Tuesdays. After the movies, you can turn in your ticket stubs for 50% off food. The theaters are small but the screens are huge, creating a cozy and intimate vibe perfect for date night. The venue offers clean facilities, comfy leather power reclining seats with cup holders and food trays, and a decent menu with great food and drinks. The staff, including the manager and team members, are helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to assist guests, even when facing small issues like payment options or running out of wine. The venue has only one bathroom for men and one for women, but they are large and clean. Overall, it’s a great spot for catching a movie with a friendly atmosphere and quality amenities.
