Came here since we were craving coconut ice Place has been open for awhile but only 8 Yelp reviews...strange. We ordered 2 different ice creams both with coconut ice cream but smothered with there sauce. Presentation looked great and the first few notes were amazing , but as you continued to eat like half way the ice cream started to melt with the sugary sauces and it became overbearingly sweet. Like tooooooo sweet. We ended up throwing it away. Also their ice cream is not home made but purchased elsewhere. Presentation wide this place gets a star, but other than that it's nothing to write home about.

Live on Thomas, walk to the beach all the time, passed by this place a million times, finally decided to give it a shot for some hot munchies (needed something filling) got 3 tenders + fries + soda for like 10 bucks. Amazing pricing for pb first of all. Location is amazing. The chili lime sauce is great if you're into that kind of thing. The breading on the tenders is light to medium while the chicken itself was fried great, very tasty. Now normally I'm not a crinkle cut fry guy, but these were well seasoned, definitely worth eating. If you're over by the pier and don't feel like getting a sandwich from board n brew, or drinking while eating, maybe swing by here for your quick bite, certainly worth it.

I found Baja Mama's Munchies when trying to find a spot that had elote with hot cheetos and was super happy to find this spot! It's right in the heart of PB next to the Ralphs off Grand and the parking structure underneath offers two hours of free parking. The corn in a cup was pretty good but very mayo heavy -- I would love if they had regular elote on a cob with hot cheetos on top. Overall, this for sure satisfied my craving but I'm not sure if I'd get it again. I'd love to try their other desserts though!

Dessert Critics Reporting: After spending a long day in the beautiful beaches of sunny San Diego, we wanted a cold treat to end the day. We were intrigued by the name and decided to satisfy our own munchies. We can both happily say that our munchies were taken care of. We both got shaved ice, mine Banana and Blue Coconut with Cherry Sours and my partner Tigers Blood and Dreamsicle. We got this for the low low price of $7 (with tip included). We'd definitely be back to try out more on the menu, plus the popsicles look amazing with a huge variety. see you soon Baja Mama's - Dessert critics

This place soooo good! I had the classic with lime and pepino sorbet and it changed my life, but it is pricey. I'm not going to lie. It was about $7.50, and my daughter's specialty cup was $9. A true treat it was a well flavored with an excellent combo of chamoy and Tajin. Worth the stop if you like that kinda thing.

Oh my gosh yes!!!! Had the classic Mango with chamoy and tamarind straw. Game changer. Excellent taste and outstanding service

Baja Mama's Munchies is a Mexican snack shop in the Pacific Beach Marketplace where Ralphs is also co-located. You can use the structure beneath the grocery store for two hours of free parking. This is very handy because of the complex's one-block proximity to the beach in which available parking is at a premium. The interior of the spacious suite had four two-top tables for seating. The menu featured a variety of hot and cold items that ranged from salty to sweet. From the list of Hot Munchies, I chose the Biscuit Chicken Chunks. It was six fried chicken nuggets that came with honey as a dipping sauce. The quality was okay, but the price tag was high at $6.50. My other pick was a small size Coco Crush. This was coconut ice cream topped with crushed pineapple and mango, pineapple syrup, and chili lime powder. The two fruits added a refreshing tropical flavor to the ice cream. I enjoyed this dessert much better than my savory selection which I gave two stars. The average between them resulted in a three star composite rating.

I got the banana split. I was skeptical at first wondering about the $9 dollar price but I was not disappointed. The serving was huge, I suggest you split it with someone else. The flavors were equally delicious. My only regret is I didn't take a photo
