You get a nice size portion and it tastes fresh. The taco shop shares a parking lot with other businesses, so around lunch time the parking is limited.

Such a great experience! We stopped by around 8:46 PM, just before their 9:00 PM closing, and the employee still warmly welcomed us and even let us dine inside without hesitation.

Californias Taco Shop offers a great experience with delicious food and excellent customer service. The street tacos, rolled tacos, and adobada fries are fresh and flavorful, and the Birria Bowl is large enough to feed up to three people, tasting like the ones in Tijuana. The carne asada street tacos are the perfect size and piled high with meat, while the tacurrito is a tasty spin on a carne asada burrito. The salsa bar offers several milder options along with spicier ones, with the habanero and guac salsas as highlights. The surf & turf California burrito and Campechana fries are phenomenal, and the cali burrito is the best in years. Serving sizes are massive, with very large portions for a very reasonable price. The horchata is the best ever, and the food and service are great with friendly staff. A 3% surcharge is labeled for credit card use. Breakfast burritos are also solid. This place is a go-to taco shop for the RB and Carmel Mountain Ranch region.
