“The food and service here never disappoint! Everything is always on point, and An, our waitress, is the sweetest, she really goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The soy garlic wings were incredibly delicious, packed with so much flavor that we couldn’t get enough. We always leave here happy and satisfied!“

“I rarely come to this area due to no parking along 30th. You’ll have to snatch one along the side streets in the residential area.

It was well worth it and be sure to call in to make a reservation. They don’t have on line version.

We each ordered our own plate but had a chance to sample all. Four of our six items were their signature items, circled on the menu.

We ordered a mixture of pasta and meat dish. 3 of us had placed our order while the 4th came late but surprisingly, all of our dishes made it out at the same time! Kuddos to the chef!

-Arugula salad: refreshing

-Beef cheek pappardelle: my fav type of pasta. It’s handmade! The beef cheek was the winner in its tenderness.

-Picanha steak (the entree): this was a preset entree with your steak smothered in a mushroom topping. Although you could sub out your sides.

-From the grill choose 3: I chose picanha steak, peperonata which is a stewed vegetable dish, and bell pepper chimichurri sauce. I expected more from the sauce, it was mainly bell peppers.

-Pistachio Campenelle: very nutty and cheesy, the pancetta was really thin and almost dissolved

-Eggplant croque (4 pieces): I was getting full from eating 2!

The picanha steak is on the menu twice. Both same price. Once as a pre set entree where your steak is topped with a mushroom sauce.

If you choose picanha from the grill list then it’s just a plain steak and you pick your sauce and side.

I have to say, I enjoyed both. I ordered my plain steak medium yet it was more tender than my friend who ordered medium rare from the entree version. Both of our cuts were extremely chewy. Although more fatty, the skirt steak might have been a better choice.“

“Tried the honeyjam chicken, Saigon style chicken, rose tteokbokki, and beef bulgogi fried rice. Every single dish was a 10. Perfectly balanced flavors and textures. Sounds like they'll be expanding their menu soon. Looking forward to that!“

“Visiting family from the East Coast and my daughter took me here today. I was stationed in Daegu South Korea for 2 years while in the Army. we used to get bb.q chicken almost every weekend. The kids loved it and so did I. This was my first time having it in 8 years and it immediately brought me back to being in Daegu. The food was amazing and brought us right back to being there. I highly recommend you check them out, you won't regret it!“

“Pelicana Chicken was a great takeout option experience. I first visited this location and used the kiosk to decide on what to order. But my friend and I had a lot of questions, so we asked the staff a lot of them. She was very nice and explained the differences and gave her recommendations.

We decided to get the signature chicken with sauces on the side. We got the original and honey mustard. We also got an order of the corn cheese. It didn’t take long for us to get our order and leave. However, when we got home, we noticed the radish was missing.

Overall, the food was really great. The signature sauce was better than the honey mustard. The service was fast and quick. We went on a Saturday around 4:30 pm and it wasn’t very busy. But the plaza parking was crowded. They do accept American Express at the kiosk.“

“Bf and I wanted to get a quick bite before our movie at the AMC started and was immediately greeted by Matilda with some of the best hospitality I’ve ever gotten at a burger place, let alone a mall location. Matilda was very sweet and would always check up on us while we dined in, offering to clear our table and asked if we needed any extra sauces, etc. pls give Matilda their flowers because they definitely deserve it!! “The catfish is bomb! Food is usually made to order, so it takes time. If you're in a hurry, best to order in advance. It is a little bit pricey, though. I got 4 pieces of catfish and 2 pieces of fried chicken and it was about $30+; yes, my friends. But I enjoyed this meal very much. “We have been HUGE a huge fan of a local crawfish restaurant for as long as they have been open, and have gone frequently over the years. Recently we have been looking to try some of the other crawfish places around. Not only did the Boxing Crab have flavorful sauces to choose from, top quality freshness, the best cooked crawfish we have had in a restaurant, (even better than our regular spot), and their service was wonderful! Vegetarian options: I had the jalapeño, zucchini, loroco, mushroom, and spinach pupusas, along with sides of yuca and plantain.

Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of pupusa options with vegetable fillings, and the masa is wheat-free. Vegetarians and gluten-free individuals should find plenty of options. Vegans might be limited to things like the yuca, curtido, and cheese-free pupusas.“

“After trying all the Korean fried chicken in San Diego, this is one of the best. The size of the chicken is huge! Very flavorful with lots of meat for a great price.
The service here is also very good. Staff is attentive and friendly to customers.

“My husband was in a business dinner and they walked some of gaslamp afterwards. After they parted ways, he needed to use the bathroom so he ran in the closest restaurant. They said he couldn't use it unless he was a customer. I totally get that but they were packed out so it made no sense.... Either way, he bought a chicken quesadilla to go. He brought it back to the room for me and our sons to have. It tasted good...until my youngest son spit out a piece of plastic he found inside the quesadilla. My Husband called about it the next day bc they were then closed. Their response was "oops sorry" like wth?! They then said "bring it back along with the plastic." No mention of a refund or investigation of how it happened. And by that point, room service had come and took the box of the rest of the food plus no one wanted to fight downtown traffic and pay to park to have them possibly offer us another quesadilla . 🙄 Again the food we did eat, minus the plastic, was good but the service wasn't.“

“Absolute favorite comfort food as far as fast food goes! The latest and greatest that I'm hooked on is the Chicken Rice Bowl with the mild buffalo sauce and an extra tender. I've tried it with the medium sauce, but the spice overpowers the chipotle ranch dressing that they put on it, which is SO yummy! (I'm not really fond of any chipotle flavor, but Epic's chipotle ranch dressing on the Rice Bowl is the BOMB!😋)
I used to go to the location on Midway Dr in San Diego, but it closed, so the Convoy St location is where I go now. It was my brother's favorite location to go to twice a week for years until he passed away two years ago, and he's the one who took me there for the first time. The staff at Convoy are so friendly and the atmosphere is fun whenever I go.“

“I had my first Chef Budda experience this past Sunday and let me tell you, I'm EXCITED about going back! First off, the customer service was amazing! I felt like family the whole time. And the food was very on point!The wings were juicy and crispy, and very seasoned. I said seasoned, not salty. There IS a difference. Lol. The rice and gravy was soulful and seasoned to perfection, but that MAC AND CHEESE! It put me in a food coma! So cheesy and delicious. I'll definitely be going back again and again! I HIGHLY suggest everybody trying them out, but I also suggest getting there early cause them delicious sides run out fast!“

The chicken was crispy and the spice level was perfect!
I find it hard to gauge how spicy Korean chicken wings are at different places because its place seems to have their own level of spiciness whereas I find Thai food level of spiciness more or less the same.
So here's a little background about my taste in spiciness: at Thai food places, I like to get 7/10 for pad thai and 8-10 for drunken noodles/pad kee mao; which means I enjoy quite a bit of spice but I also want to taste the sweetness if the dish is supposed to be sweet.
Korean chicken wings should have some sweetness and but mild sounds too bland to me, so I went with my guts and got the monster. Jackpot!!! This really hits the spot; I got a little bit of spice, a lot of crunch and enough sweetness.

The portion is quite small; so go big next time.

“After reading multiple reviews for pizza in the area, we decided to try Bambino’s. I called on a Saturday evening about 5:45 for a medium Hawaiian. The grilled that answered the phone was brusque and businesslike, and took my order quickly and accurately. Not a lot of pleasantries, but she didn’t appear rude.

The neighborhood of the store was a little off putting. Bars on the home windows, and a junkie or two on the parking lot at the convenience store next door.

Inside of the shop appeared clean and smelled like good food. Cashier was again brusque, but that is okay because my pizza was handed out quickly and I was on my way.

Pizza was very, very good! Toppings were plentiful, crust was just the right amount of chew and crisp, and pizza was nice and hot! We very much enjoyed the entire pizza. The hope pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese packets were a welcome touch!“
