Wonderful local place. Kim is most excellent.
Cute coffee cart tucked away in bankers hill. Kim is the best and always fun to chat with. Favorite coffee place in town!

Best coffee shop in Hillcrest & Bankers Hill on First Avenue - bar none. Looking for the best coffee shop in Hillcrest or Bankers Hill? This cozy, locally owned gem on First Avenue is a must-visit. Open seven days a week from 6 AM to 11 AM, it's known by locals for San Diego’s best espresso, plus smooth lattes, cappuccinos, and rich drip coffee. You’ll pay $5.75 max per drink, so go ahead and add that extra flavor shot or go for double espresso. The owner bakes remarkable homemade banana bread and other fresh treats (including gluten-free) every morning, making this the perfect spot for a quick coffee or a relaxing pastry break. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, this Hillcrest coffee shop delivers great vibes, quality coffee, and a warm welcome, every single day.

This is a hidden jewel in hillcrest!! The best coffee Ive had in years. The staff is super friendly. Prices are great and lots of seating. Try their skinny macadamia nut latte.

Nice little two table pop up. Great for a walk through the neighborhood. Kind staff. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it but if I lived nearby there I’d be a regular

10 stars. Not from the area, stopped here totally unplanned during a long run and got a banana and a double espresso. Somehow I felt like it saved my life in the moment. Excellent service.

Well another 5 star rating. We were traveling through and lucked out and found this exceptional espresso bar. The barista Kim makes great drinks and is super friendly. She knew everyone's name who came in. Between drink orders she helped customers with crossword puzzles and talked with us. The other patrons were also friendly. She deserves 6 stars!
Vegetarian options: Great quiche.
Nice visit in the Bankers Hill area, took a walk to find some coffee and we found the cutest/quaint coffee shop nestled between a couple other establishments, great coffee drinks & Pastries that Kim (the owner) baked herself, we visited here twice and both times met really nice people, one lady actually walked with us to one of the 7 bridges in that area, the suspension bridge was a bit wobbly but it was a great experience to walk across, we did two more after that, next time we'll hit the other 4. Definitely will stay in this area again, and of course, a visit with Kim for her delicious lattes is a must!
