Grand Ole BBQ Reviews
Did a search for best bbq in SD. Watched triple D, and cruised over to their North Park location. Time was probably 12:45. Food was cold. So, I get that they open at 12, and need some prep time. I asked for them to reheat my beans/bacon. Cook said toss in the trash, stir the pot, and re-serve. Slightly warmer but surely under the health departments standard for hot food.
There was no smokers working, save a puff from one near the street.
My takeaway is this: First shift...read full review
Our boy is raving about u guys!
Great food! Went to the North Park location and was very pleasantly surprised. Being from Texas I had my doubts 😂 However, I really enjoyed the food. I do wish the north park location had a gluten free menu available though. I know the other location does, but there was some uncertainty on if the meats were gf. Thankfully I was assured that the meats and sauces were gf. Someone even came to the table to verify an ingredient. I appreciate them going out of their way to do so!...read full review

Grand Ole BBQ in North Park offers Texas BBQ with a great smoke flavor. The borracho fries with pulled pork were a hit at the Padres game, and they are now as good as ever, loaded with brisket and very tasty. The tri tip sandwich, brisket sandwich, and potato salad were delicious and tender. The plain fries were a hit, and the sides like mac and cheese and spicy slaw are 10/10. The drink menu includes Not Your Fathers Root Beer, and the beers are cold. The sauces had a strong vinegar taste, but the sandwiches didn't need more sauce—pro tip: try all the sauces and ask for jalapenos and pickles. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, with indoor and outdoor seating, heaters, and fun music playing. The staff is nice, polite, and prompt. Make sure to try the Turkey, brisket, pulled pork, and TriTip—though sometimes it sells out! The place has a very old-school BBQ feel, right at home in Central Texas.
