Islands Restaurant Mira Mesa

I always enjoy the atmosphere, food, and drinks at Islands. Food and drinks are good, but prices are high for what it is. The fact that the chicken tenders don't come with fries when they charge $14.25 is pretty crazy when they are basic tenders.

The staff is always very friendly, however they tend to not provide the best service. They do the bare minimum, take our drink order, food order, deliver drinks, food and that's about it. They don't check in and I have to flag them down to get more water, another drink, something I need, the check, anything, it's pretty bad.

Ate lunch there today, and it was an excellent experience. Good food, good service, and good atmosphere.

My only complaint was that there was no Big Kahuna Burger on the menu. ;)

It is what it is. We’ve known this chain for years when it used to be on La Jolla Drive and we were sad when they moved locations and closed the one in La Jolla Drive.

We go there usually for fine burgers and sandwiches. The food was delicious, from the french fries, to the onion rings, to the shorebird or chicken mushroom sandwich, to the Malibu burger, to the Maui burger and the nachos were ok.

We recommend this place because there aren’t many Islands in San Diego.

Was greeted when we walked in the door. The young greeter helped us find a table instead of a booth. We were created with a smile feim out wait person. Got our drinks quickly . Then, we took our orders, all with a smile. Food came out in a good amount of time. Waitstaff, keep checking in on us. Check came. we gave her thank you rocks , she was very grateful ?. Generous tip was given and deserved even penny. What a great eating experience.

I ordered pick up, and needed special accommodations. I phoned, and I wish I could remember the name of the guy who helped me- but he was so kind and so happy to help! He's the trainer, and looked maybe Pacific Islander. Possibly Antonio? Anyhow, the food was great, as always, and, let's call him Antonio, was extra great!

Dietary restrictions: Mom has celiac disease, and they were very accommodating.

first off our waiter James was awesome. he set the tone for a wonderful experience and great time and meal with family. food was hot and fresh ingredients.

The kilauea burger is my favorite. Spicy with crispy fried onions on it...delicious.
Been to this location about a dozen times. Employees are always friendly and on top of drink refills. This location is next to a movie theatre, so I'll be back again after my next movie.

We stopped at Islands to kill some time before heading to the cinema, and it was a fantastic decision! The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was friendly, and the drinks were superb (with many options available). The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. We will definitely return to Islands!
