My boyfriend and I were visiting San Diego for our two year anniversary. We were staying in Old Town San Diego and decided to try this place for a nice Italian dinner. I had a Lemon Drop and the Swallow’s Nest. My boyfriend had the filet mignon. We shared the Bruschetta as the appetizer. Everything was phenomenal. We asked our waiter, Sergio, if he could take some pictures of us afterwards. The lights were already off outside, but he turned the lights back on for us....

Jack & Giulio’s is the kind of Old Town spot that makes you feel like you stepped into a classic Italian time capsule—in the best way. It’s a long-standing, family-owned restaurant (a San Diego favorite since 1961) with that old-school red-linen vibe and warm lighting.

We started strong with two martinis, then shared shrimp bisque, garlic bread, and a caprese salad. 😋 Every course came out hot, 🍝 paced perfectly, and plated like they actually...

Service was exceptional. Jose was Great in every respect. The 2 specials for the evening were described perfectly and we both opted to try each. Great choice, I had the Cioppino and my wife had the Filet. So happy we decided on the specials. They were excellent. We havn't been to this restaurant in apx. 7 years for a previous anniversary. We're so glad we chose to return. The food was exceptional the first time and we definitely won't wait another 7 years to come...
