Recommended by a friend of mine who grew up in imperial Beach in the 1980s and went here all the time, I never would've gone here but trusted his recommendation. The food is very different from most other Mexican food places but has great flavor and very fresh. The meat is seasoned well. The salsa is very chunky, but fresh, the chips are a little thick for my tastes and not salted but still really good. Really liked this place and will bring my family here next time we're visiting.
This used to be a really good place. But it has come under new ownership and has gone downhill rapidly. We went there for breakfast today 7/30/23. And the service was very slow. We waited about 10 minutes before we even got a menu and they were not even busy. On top of that it was very hot on the dining room and when we asked for some air we were informed the A/C was broke. It seems the new ownership put a lot of money into redecorating and none into maintaining the equipment....read full review

We get a meal here every time we are in the San Diego area-its that good! Food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Everything is authentic and service is excellent.
